The $45 banquet menu is incredible value and available for two! My hubby and I love this for a tasty date night right on the beach. Cool crowd and fit-out. AmaZing Food.

Great Food in a great location... a 5 star restaurant really... we had a preset menu... loved the Prawn side and even the Massaman Curry which was not expected in a chinese restaurant... highly chef indeed.

Love this place. The food is pretty amazing. Especially the betel leaves. Nice size meals and very reasonably priced. The services is good with all the staff knowing the menu very well and being spot on with specials. The only thing is it can feel a bit claustrophobic. The tables are very close together. Better for a group dinner than a romantic one.

I have been a few times and have always enjoyed the food and service, quite a trendy little place with an interesting menu, waitstaff are always very accomadating and friendly, the ocean trout wrapped in beetle leaf is amazing and shouldn't it be missed.

Really excited to try out China Beach after hearing great feedback from a friend and let me say we weren't disappointed! Table for 2 was a little alcove just off the main thoroughfair so it was a busy passage during our dinner.

The restaurant itself is very bright and white and patrons came either dressed to the nine's or very casual, thongs and tee's straight off the beach! We took a quick look over the drinks menu and had enough time to check out the small but diverse menu by the time they arrived.

All the entree's are available in half serves which was terrific as we chose 3 of the half serves as they all sounded yum. Must say that everything we tried was amazing, condiments served on the side so you could add just the right amount to your liking.

We ordered two of the mains and struggled to finish the dishes. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and we were really impressed with the simple yet clear flavours of the meals we had chosen.

Afterwards, a lovely stroll along the waterfront was just perfect after a delish meal at China Beach. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

We were really excited to try this sister of China Doll at Woolloomoloo but we were very disappointed in the food. Would not recommend a visit for the cost better off going to your favourite Chinese Restaurant!

Pretty out there Asian food. Great for my vegetarian mood swings. Right on the beach where I like to be. Packed out.

The Food was very tasty and not like your usual Asian food. There were only two of us and we ordered two main dishes which was too much for two people and would probably have appreciated being told this before ordering. However both dishes were delicious.

The service was good though the two main meals arrived about ten minutes apart.
I think our biggest gripe with the experience was the amount of noise. It was a Saturday night so you do expect places to be busy but this was very loud and we could barely hear each other without yelling. I wouldn't go back on a Saturday night.

This is probably my favourite restaurant in manly. I love the dishes. Stand out dishes for myself we the prawns and the nasi gorang. Phenominal cocktails. I highly recommend the apple orchard. The service was just as complimentary as the food, taking such good care of us. A little loud, but only because the place is so popular and its obvious why.

Having been to China Doll many times and it being one of my favourite restaurants, I had a few reservations about trying China Beach. No need, as the food, whilst not as good as the original, was still enjoyable. The stand outs, smoked trout on betel leaf and good cocktails. Unfortunately, the squid was rubbery and the pork belly main very very salty. We still enjoyed our dinner though and will be back again.
