Great value food which is always full of flavour. Don't know why more people haven't discovered this place. Love the salmon and the crab tortellini!

Chase Oyster Bar has an extensive menu but if you are not sure of something, just ask the wait staff.
The baked-on-premise bread came out first. I don’t eat bread even if they are offered because they just make you full but I was promised by my friend across the table that these were the best bread ever and that I would regret it if I didn’t try them. And I am glad I ate them. How should the bread be described? Simply the best bread ever. Just try them and be your own judge.
We started with the Grilled Scallops which was succulent and cooked to perfection. We even dipped the bread in the juices. Highly recommended dish.
There was something on the menu that I hadn’t tried before - Sugar cured Salmon Salad ($20) – so had to try it. It had a nice hum from the mustard or wasabi and you can taste the dill which really complemented the salmon.
We then had Mussels Marinara ($12) which was cooked in tomato and basil. Again- fresh, succulent and sweet. I like mussels (as well as scallops and oysters) so I have eaten them at many different restaurants (cooked in various ways too) in my time and these were very good ones. We did not waste the “juices” and wiped down our bowls clean with their baked-on-premise bread.
Next were the mains. I had the Risotto Marinara mixed seafood in tomato ($25). Firstly, the price-So cheap. You cannot find another restaurant that sells risotto marinara at this price. The risotto marinara was so flavoursome and sweet. We had to ask the waitress to ask the kitchen if they added sugar to the sauce and to the mussels marinara. She reported that they DO NOT put sugar in the Napolitana sauce. The tomatoes are crushed and cooked for 1.5hrs with olive oil to cook out the acidity so there is no need to add sugar when making the Mariana sauce.
My friend tried the Grill Barramundi with Asparagus, mushroom, beurre blanc, and potato gratin ($25). Generous serving and very affordable. The barramundi was moist and the skin was extra crispy. The best way to enjoy it!
But the highlight of our dinner was the Chocolate marquise ($10). This is on the specials menu so make sure to ask whether they have any left as there are only a set number of slices. It is like a bitter-sweet chocolate mousse but slightly firmer like a ganache. An absolute must for any chocolate lover!
Will definitely be back to try the black chitarra pasta and the other fish that were on the specials menu.

The menu, specials written and verbal were huge, with something for anyone. Though foreign the staff were pleasingly competent/friendly and poured our wine. I was informed that the bread is so good as the chef bakes it in the morning and after noon real bread.
The oyster (less than $30 a doz) where from 2 different areas while the Wallis Lakes were pure white and creamy the Hastings River ones have a little tinge of green in comparison, Hastings were the best. We had Snapper fillet special pan fried simply served with fresh mash steamed vegi that you could tell weren't pre-cooked extra virgin olive oil and lemon and Wagyu rump-cap on gratin vegi, glaze sauce and truffle paste absolutely beautiful we had another serve for only 30 bucks why not.
Found this joint through two paper reviews and they were spot on restaurant quality food at a third the price. I'm hooked fresh JDory 25 bucks, flathead 20, hand-pasta, I've got to come back to test if they are as fresh as the Snapper we devoured.

I've been here twice. Ordered escargot, garlic seafood, risotto capesante, and pannacotta. Very fulfilling dinner. Almost to the level of fine dining, but without the hefty price tag.

Atmosphere is really bland. No ambience and lots of empty tables and no background music and so it made us feel like we were eating in a very unpopular restaurant. We had read decent reviews on eatability but were warned about the service. Instead we found the service average and the food poor.
This place serves food like it's a local family restaurant but charges prices that I would expect to pay in a nice restaurant. The wagyu steak did not taste like wagyu at all. Definitely would not go back again.

Quite a nice restaurant with a good selection of food and wine. All our meals were fresh and well prepared. Service was great and the final bill for 4 people with wines was quite reasonable.

I was really excited about finding this place, I had the kingfish spaghetti which was delicious and spicy, plus some fresh oysters. Such a nice difference to the rest of the food court area.
Went back today for the same dishes as I'd been craving the spicy spaghetti, but a tad disappointed that there was no spice at all in it today. On the bright side, my husband had the linguini dorothy which was a bit different to your usual pasta dishes and very tasty!

Had a bad experience here. Service was slow although the restaurant was half empty. Before ordering, we asked to put in the order of pasta of the day as my son was hungry. I checked with the server if it was spicy, she said no! Asked would it be long (since pasta of the day was listed as handmade!), she said no! So we ordered that first, whilst my husband was still browsing at the menu.
The pasta came only after 30 minutes together with my husband's order (then why did I have to order the pasta first when they don't really do anything to bring the pasta first!) and when my son took the first bite, he cried out so loud as if he was in pain. Why? Because it was spicy! My son cried himself to sleep after that without having his dinner! And when we complained, the senior staff didn't even have the courtesy to come over to apologize or to maybe just ask how my little boy was doing? (well, she was busy eating away!).
So what if the food was good, when service disappoints and half of the time, information given is inaccurate!). Won't go back!

Food was alright but service was pretty appalling. The first few times we visited, waitstaff were attentive but only because it was very empty. We visited twice more while they were quite busy. The food was very slow to come out and upon asking them about the progress of our order, the manager started yelling at us, claiming it was our fault for not telling the waiter that we wanted the meals a little quicker when we placed our order. It was not very reasonable considering we had been waiting for over an hour and a half for our meal. Not impressed.

Chase Oyster Bar is a bit of a mix of everything - relatively fine dining inside a food court, with mid-range prices. Don't let the empty seats on weeknights fool you - the place is slowly becoming busier, especially on friday and saturday nights - and deservedly so. Highly recommended dishes are the Beef Ribs (not really ribs that you eat with your fingers, but a substantial piece of meat to be carved with knife and fork) with delicious sauce (my husband's favourite), the Garlic Seafood, the fish of the day (lovely creamy sauce), the spaghetti with prawn, rocket, tomato & chilli and the chocolate marquise for dessert. Prices are very reasonable, service is getting there (with more customers they become more experienced), the house wine is good, and oh, the complementary in house bread with butter that they serve as the start is the best bread we've had in Sydney. A real treat. Just make sure they warm it up for you. Highly recommended.
