Had a romantic dinner with my husband on a Saturday night at this restaurant which was recommended by a friend so we travelled across the bridge and were extremely happy as this certainly exceeded our expectations. All dishes that we both ordered were perfect in taste and presentation.

The service was great, friendly, attentive but not intrusive. It was freezing outside but it was really cosy inside. The soufflé was beautiful and light and full of flavour, best I have ever had. My husband's oysters were really fresh and plump. Both the trout and the lamb rump were cooked to perfection and accompaniments went beautifully with it. The complimentary amuse bouche was really tasty.

The chocolate tasting plate was perfect for the two of us as the helpings are very generous and although we would have loved to have a dessert each, a shared dessert finished off the meal nicely. Will definitely be coming back across the bridge again to visit this restaurant and would also like to try the special lunch menu which looks really good.

Not bad for a nice meal if you're not expecting much. Service was pretty good except for what seemed like a new waiter who looked lost most of the time. Overall our meals were quite tasty, ample portions and good value. My only disappointment on the night was the Souffle which was under baked and the bumbly waiter spilling boytiris over the table instead of the glass and not cleaning up.

Definitely worth revisiting for the food and views. Returned in 2012 and the food was as good as expected, with a perfectly baked soufflé this time. Service was exceptional as well, I almost felt like I was in a 2 hatted restaurant.

We enjoyed our meal at Ceviche. The oysters were fresh and plump, and my duck was perfectly cooked. The steak was overdone but that is a common problem in most restaurants. My pear tarte tatin was a disappointment, the pear was underdone, the pastry was tough and there was a puddle of solid toffee on the plate (glad I was not washing up).

Overall, the location is lovely and the staff were all friendly (rare these days), so I would return.

We recently dined here the food was amazing and value for money, as was the service and the view. It was great to watch the new young Executive Chef (Nathan West) in action! Would highly recommend this restaurant!

We went here for a Sunday lunch and I must say it had nothing going for it except for its location. The room has no atmosphere and the waiters moving tables around us to make room for more large groups in the middle of the room left half the banquet empty with no tables.

The tomato bruschetta was mainly raw onion (we went straight home after lunch to clean our teeth to get rid of our onion breath). The gnocchi was giant starchy things served in what I can only describe as watery canned tomato soup with a bunch of spinach plonked on top (instead of the basil which was on the menu).

I don’t know who would pay $44 for a steak at a place like this but it is on the menu. We didn’t stay for dessert.

Another great Coogee hangout. It is relaxed and serves up exceptionally fine food. Ceviche is great value for money and I like to chill here.

I give ceviche sevens across the board because it is generally slightly above average in all respects, but I'd like to score it higher. Ceviche is definitely in the top three dining options in coogee but then again the coogee dining scene is pretty dire so its not saying much. Ive dined here with my partner twice and found the food a little bit hit and miss - last time we were there the entrees were a bit bland but the mains were fantastic (in particular the kangaroo - perfection). Service means well, but isn't top notch (that being said there's nothing particularly wrong with it, just not out of this world). All in all a nice place for a nice meal at a nice price.

Wow, can't say enough good things about the meal my partner and I had on the weekend at Ceviche. We were able to walk right in and get a table on a saturday evening when the other cafes in coogee are jammed. We have been meaning to try this place since it opened and we are so glad we did. My partner got the beef fillet and he is the pickiest person in the world when it comes to dining out and said it was absolutely perfect.

All the elements on the plate were perfectly cooked and delicious. I had the trout with wasabi mash - mmmm. The staff was friendly and attentive, but wasn't hovering around too much, which is nice. Also the meals were out right at the 30 min mark, which is acceptable. We don't mind paying the higher prices when the meal delivers like that one did. We will definitely be back again!

My husband booked this restaurant for Valentines Day. Overall we were very disappointed. Contrary to earlier reviews this restaurant is not good value at $30 mains for bistro quality food. I was put off to begin with when the open salt dish was put on our table clearly having had previous patrons fingers in it.

Entrees, seared scallops and cheese souffle were ok but nothing special. Mains - Ocean trout and me the lamb loin asked for medium rare but was overcooked, not worth $30 a plate when we feel we could have cook those meals easily ourselves.
Chose not to risk dessert and coffee at those prices. Service was lovely. Great location but shame about the bistro food at gourmet prices.

Dropped into Ceviche with my partner on valentines day for a light meal. We sat outdoors which I enjoyed, even in the rain the umbrellas managed to keep us very dry. We ordered bruschetta and seasoned cajun potatoes to share, both were very tasty. We finished with 2 coffees which were larger than standard and very nice.

Service was friendly and prompt even though there were quite a lot of people there for lunch. The ambience in the restaurant looked very pleasing, relaxed with a hint of fancy, when I went inside to go to the ladies (which importantly, was also a good experience!) Would love to return for a proper dinner meal, desserts and all!
