Came here on a Saturday night with a group of friends (6). Ordered the tapas banquet, $35/head including corkage. Quantity of food was good, but the service put me off my meal. The senior staff was verging on aggressive and some of the dishes were nearly inedible, others were ok. I would suggest choosing your own tapas dishes and not going with the banquet option. Also avoid the senior staff!
We tried the tapas menu and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was good (although a little noisy). The food was tasty, the service was good and the waitress was helpful. We chose 7 tapas plates for 2 people and we were able to find room for dessert which was a nice change. Overall a very pleasant experience and we will certainly be back for more.
Unfortunately, this has been the worse food experience of my life. The whole meal lacked flavor, presentation. The service was rude, the meal was cold, they didn't had the plates we where there for. Overall don't waste your time.
The tapas were really good - tried about 6 and all good. Mains were a little bit average and small, service was very friendly - not many people there at the time. Next time will just have the tapas.
Had our Christmas party dinner here. Started with the garlic bread, which was tasty. but after that? It's goin downhill and become even tasteless. We had the red cabbage which was tasteless, 2 skewers of prawn to be shared with 6 people? You must be joking! And it's not even that tasty! In the end we still had a skewer left!
The food came very very late. We spent almost 3 hrs to get all our food out. And it wasn't that good either. Very dissapointing. Not 2 mention a very rude staff that just wanted 2 kick us out as soon as possibe. Honestly, I'm not a great fans of tapas. But I sure do know that Casapueblo doesn't even come close to deliver a decent tapas that I use 2 have near my uni take away shop.
A real disappointment is all I can say. Give this one a pass unless you like lettuce and tomatoes. Lets start with the service - over an hour to receive your food. Tapas? Portion sizes are small and simply have no taste - 5 very small prawns for 6.50, garnished with you guessed it lettuce and tomato! A single medium portabello mushroom for another 6.50, garnished with you guessed it lettuce and tomato? Both were not even close to South American flavours or should I say no flavour at all. Pork was dry, mains come with you guessed it lettuce and tomato (only)! Sorry to seem so harsh but when you are spending 20.00 for a main you expect more. Amazing a place like this can stay in business.
As Latin American people we are, we could tell Casapueblo is not even close to be a good South American's experience. The food is awful, the ribs did not taste anything at all. We asked for some tomato sauce to try to fix the taste of the meat and the staff denied it for us. She was rude and did not have any people's skills. We asked her to describe for us how the ribs were cooked and she very impolitely answered that she did not have idea!!! It is not the best way to respond to your custumers if you are going to pay for having a good time !!! We recommend do not waste you money in Casapueblo. Look around and you will find better places like it.
We went as a group of four. We had a selection of 10 tapas dishes and all were very tasty. We followed up with dessert and coffees. Excellent value at around $100. Wonderful helpful hostess.
I organised a bon voyage party for a friend here with a party of 17ppl. Diane was gracious and helpful from the booking through to the evening. We had the $27.50 tapas banquet meal. Some of us found the serving sizes a little smaller than one finds in most restaurants and we felt as though we had to be cautious in how much we selected for ourselves as it was easy to not have enough serves to go around for the numbers (it appeared to be one serve for every 4-5ppl) and we were a group of healthy eaters. In the end there was enough food and it was good (the herb bread was a little bland) and excellent value (esp the no corkage component) but bigger serving sizes would have helped. However, a good evening was had by all and there were many ppl who said that they would return.
