I will open this by saying that the quality of the food was great. This place have the best side dishes I have seen in any similar place, and the bbqed meats are similarly the best of any churrasco I have tried, being tender and cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly.

However, the downside to our whole churrasco experience was actually getting the waiters to notice our table of nine diners on a Sunday lunch. Not sure how one would miss a table like that. It was almost half an hour of sitting before we saw our first bbq'ed meat come around. I had to actually call out to a waiter and get them to come over. This pattern was repeated just about the whole time.

I looked around the place and it was just devoid of any waiters carrying around the meats which is the whole basis of a Brazilian bbq. And when the waiters did come out, they seem to focus on serving certain tables first, many times after which the scant amount of meats were gone. That was very disappointing and I spoke to the manager about it. He was understanding and apologetic citing a lack of staff, but meanwhile I had a bunch of diners I had brought here who were not very impressed.

I really do wish I could rave about the place, because the quality of food we did receive was high, and the staff friendly, but the lack of meat being offered, and the fact we felt it was a struggle to even get what we got of it on the day, was a considerable downer for us. Maybe Sunday is just not the day to go.

As a non-foodie I don’t often comment on the quality of the restaurants we visit. In the case of Casa Brasil, however, I feel obligated to make an exception. What started a year ago as a casual Sunday lunch has transitioned into a solemn weekly tradition. Every Sunday without fail we make it over to Petersham to experience the best Brazilian food in Sydney.

What makes the outing so special is the succulent mix of delicious food with unbelievably friendly and efficient service. Thanks to my Brazilian wife, we have dined in most of the Brazilian restaurants in town, but none comes even close in matching the high quality of Casa Brazil. Pace yourself with the meat and always make a booking because the secret of their success is getting out!

We had our Son's christening lunch at Casa Brasil, about 30 guests. They nailed it, every guest left with a smile and raving about the food, which there was a hell of a lot of. Service was excellent and it was great value for money. Family run and it shows, from the booking right through to leaving the tip it had a personal touch.

Came here on a Saturday evening. It was quiet when we started (around 6) and got quite busy by the time we finished. I'd suggest booking ahead.

We had the churrasco. The selection consisted of chicken, beef and pork. There was also cheese and pineapple. If you come here expecting to have large amounts of meat sliced in front of you - don't. They do have some sliced in front of you, but for the most part it came out on a plate, sliced or there were pieces that could be easily served from the 'stick'.

There was an open bar of salad, water cress, cucumber, tomato and different types of dressing. The service was efficient, naturally more attentive at the start. Good overall.

I was expecting food as soon as we sat down, but it was a little while until they brought the sides and BBQ. Maybe I was impatient because I was so hungry. But once we started there was a good steady flow. The food was good and so were the sides. The meat was cooked well and was tasty. The pineapple was especially good. I would go again.

I've been to Casa Brasil a bunch of times in the last few years. Now they are at a new, larger location.

Prices went up, but the food is still very good. Probably the best, in terms of taste and value, in Sydney. Last weekend we went for the Sunday churrasco - it was really good. And they had live music on, which is a plus.

And they sell homemade frozen "pao de queijo!" - $18 for 36 of them - but totally worth it, much better than the dry mixture one.

Last Saturday we went driving around the area for dinner after seeing 'The Hunter' at Norton Street Cinema (so-so movie imv) and came across this place in Petersham. The place was neat and modern with high ceilings and dining areas on either side of a centrally located bar, around 20 diners which was about 20% of capacity (it was 8:30pm) and a 3-man band set up against the front window.

We went for the Brazilian style BBQ meal rather than the one-dish la carte meals which seemed poor value for money in comparison. The BBQ included unlimited salads, sides and a variety of meats served at the table on swords. The meats were exceptionally good, the salads and sides simple but very tasty.

The staff were attentive and courteous and the food kept coming at regular intervals. If you like BBQ meat than this is your place although those with small appetites might think the $40/head price tag a bit high however big eaters will definitely get their money's worth. A half carafe of sangria at $15 was perhaps a touch pricey but very tasty nonetheless.

The band was OK but not great, but did add to the atmospherics. Their website lists quite a few acts on the bill and has an energetic feel to it so these guys are trying hard to please and mostly succeeding I suggest. Will be back with my big eating mate Rodjo the builder.

Went here early on a Friday night, just two of us. At 6 pm the place was pretty much empty, but at least this meant the service was prompt! We ordered the mixed fried entree plate which was tasty and of good value, about $9 from memory.

I decided to skip the BBQ and order a la carte (though the BBQ was tempting, but for us on the night just looked like way too much food, a funny predicament, I know!). Having ordered the black beans with meats and the prawns, we were eating before we even had time to think!

The food came with a good range of sides including rice and these amazing cassava chips! This was all topped off with a jug of sangria, running the bill up to $79, which was truly excellent value given taste and the fact that there was still food left on the plates.

Will definitely be going back to try the BBQ one day soon, perhaps, along with the live music on offer Sundays. Highly recommended!

I came here a little while ago with my mom holding a voucher. And I must say I was very very impressed with this place. I absolutely adore it! When we went in we were immediately greeted by big smiles, led to a table, sat down, given our little side dishes as were asked what drinks we would like.

Food came out after 5 minutes to give us time to try our sides as they introduced it to us. They were happy to give you as many meat that you requested and were very nice when I specified which area I would like. The Food was delicious! although the chicken was a tad dry and maybe the beef was not as tender as I liked, everything else was great. The fish and prawns, oh I couldn't help but to ask for more.

At the end we were the only people left at the place yet they still came up with food and asked if there was anything specific we wanted. I got more prawns!
If this place kept at 39pp I probably wouldn't go, however, if they dropped it to maybe 30pp I would consider going back every now and then because it is simply divine.

I do recommend all people to try this place at least once.
