Carmens is a good night out for the 18 year olds just getting their first taste of nightclubbing. Great, and convenient for the surrounding suburbs, but for the price you pay, you'd spend the same amount of money in a night out in the city.

Carmens isn't that good at all. The DJ that is usually there each week plays the same mix of his rnb and other songs that were hot back in 1997. 15 bucks is what you would expect to pay at a club where they have some top 100 djs, not some dj who looks like he was picked up off the street...the girls there are probably the only good thing but been warned there are usually about 90% guys and 10% girls on the dance floor as the night gets older.

I wouldn't reccomend this club unless you'r bored and with nothing else to do on a sat night off your face.

Atmosphere is great, fun night out. Drinks are a bit pricey but better than city clubs. Staff are friend and accommodating. Tends to attract mostly young "sleazy" types of both genders, but apart from the over-sexed teens, it is definitely a memorable experience!

Awsome place, the scene is hot and the bar staff are hotter! Fantastic night out, I would have to say the best night out in the shire ever.

Being a previous staff member of Carmens I can proudly say that without a doubt it is the best place with the girls and get rowdy on the dance floor. Why spend your week's pay in the city when you'll have a better night local. My only complaint would be that the security are way too high and mighty, and can sometimes get a little too heavy handed with the patrons.

I haven't been here in a long, long time. However, the last time I was there it was a "school uniform" night. I picked up this young hottie, and we were enjoying each other's company on the lounge when my girlfriend shows up and busts me.

Not to worry. Tell the girlfriend it was all a misunderstanding, disappear to my car with the hottie, then ring girlfriend in the morning and dump her.

Carmens rocks!

Great drinking hole for some easy tunes and a few laughs. Must be open-minded and not be expecting somewhere "up-market", otherwise you are better off trying somewhere else. Down to Earth club for people who want to just chill out.

Carmen's definitely seems to polarize people. Probably the best indication of why is the sweat dripping off the ceiling on any given Saturday night. Crowded, smokey, and with a style that's somewhere between mainstream and RnB.

Carmen's tends to attracts a very young crowd of Shire girls dancing up on the podium in their tiny micro-minis and showing you exactly what they're not wearing underneath. For better or worse, the Shire boys seems to love this and can't wait to get up there too.

I agree with the other reviewers! theres a lot of people out there who try and dis carmens but i'm here to say that i love the place! where else can u find such sexy clubbers in the shire. Its H.O.T.! The staff r great but the atmosphere most of all is so lively! Great place to just let loose and go crazy to the music, so be prepared to get smashed!
