Multi award winning venue, Cargo was established in 2000 and warmly welcomed with a round of applause for it's fresh style and attitude within the Sydney bar and restaurant scene.

Cargo as a whole has continued to live up to it's highly acclaimed success intent on delivering quality food, cocktails, wine and outstanding service, while playing host to Sydney's best entertainment over two levels, all year round.
The breath-taking views, the ambient atmosphere and the excellent service all reflect the essence of what Cargo is all about. However, the fantastic new Winter menu is what brings everyone back religiously.
Cargo's world famous pizza menu offers transcontinental treats, such as mouth-watering ribs, succulent schnitzels, delicious salads, and ocean delights to tempt. Offering special deals every week there's a desirable flavour for any occasion.
Disappointing to say the least. Security failed to honour a group booking that had been made over a month in advance, despite some early arrivals from our group waiting inside at the reserved tables already.
The frustrating part about this place on a saturday night is depending whos on the door the policy always changes. Sometimes it's guests lists only, other times they let you in. The crowd isn't bad, ordering drinks is tough when its so close to the dance floor and the most annoying part is that dude playing the bongos to every song being played, sure it sounds good the bongos but only mixed with certain songs or styles not to every track!
Overall not bad just security and staff are too picky for a cheap club that cries of better music and friendlier atmosphere. Only recommended if you get in for free,
The food was more in the genre of Mcdonalds. Drinks were put together...no creativity.. ambience was non-existent and all it had going was the breeze thanks to the water. Avoid this place and save.
Cargo is great for a Thursday. Went to their new night 'Thursdays, I'm in love' and it was great. They have $5 Cosmo's, $5 pizzas and $5 blondes. The pizzas were to die for and we ordered like 3 each. The cosmo's were at full strength not like other bars where they dilute them because they're discounted. Was a great night with great old school tunes. Recommend it to anyone.
Good place for a decent schnitzel, pizza and/or drinks. The service is above average, and the value is second to none for this part of town (<$25 pp for a full meal). Only the ambience lets this place down, is it really necessary to pump out the music at full volume before dinnertime?
Cargo Bar is like a rollercoaster, you have up nights and you have down nights. I have been here so many times that I can say that the proportion between them both, unfortunately, is fairly equal. I never come here for the food so I'm not judging the nosh in this review, just the nightclub.
The drinks/cocktails are good here, pricey, but not as expensive as other places. The beer selection is quite good too. But the service is terrible. What weighs this down is the long wait time in the bar and the fact that it gets very crowded, some nights you literally feel like packed sardines.
I have the general impresion of staff being staff here, ie. when they're busy they can be a little snappy otherwise quite good. Even the security guards here are fairly decent too.
Excellent Pizzas (the Peking Duck pizza is amongst the best pizza you'll find in Sydney). As far as bar's go, there are far better in Sydney, but if you want somewhere that's easy to get into for a quick drink - check it out.
I went on Saturday night, had an aweful time. Music is fine but the service disappointing. Bouncers are rude and service bad. Would not suggest anyone to go there. Try few bars next to it, much better.
We went to the cocktail bar on Saturday night. First time being there and we were let in no problems. Drinks were great and weren't that expensive considering there was no cover charge. Music was good and the crowd were friendly and relaxed.
Those people complaining about rude staff were obviously turned away and those complaining about the 'posers' probably feel more at home at their local.
Great place to go if you can get in, if your guy make sure you go there when its daylight, otherwise the gorillas at the door will hit you with the guest list, being hit with this list 2 weeks in a row when I seen other people getting in, I jumped up to look at it and to my surprise seen the bouncer holding a clipboard with a blank bit of paper, good on ya mate, not the place to go if your on the ill pays its red hot bouncers will throw ya on ya face out the door(happened to my mate so we threw bottles at them).
