My family took me there for fathers day yesterday 4-9-11. This place was packed to the rafters, and yes it is a location used for this popular TV show. The food was great, excellent value and the service was olive oil slick! Our waiter was young energetic and seemed very popular with the girls on our table.

Service was excellent with pleasant staff but the food at our table of 5 was disappointing. Calamari was very bland as was the slow cooked steak, smothered in an overpowering white sauce. First time ever I have left steak on the plate.

I eat there 2-3 nights per week, excellent value and friendly wait staff. Drinks service is slow but you can go to the bar to collect.

Son was in town, out for dinner, outlook from the restaurant was spectacular, 3 course lobster was beautiful and good value for $30, dessert were to die for even filled up the young one. I will be back.

I recently held a large function in the Waterfront Function Centre at the St George Motor Boat Club. What a wonderful experience! The service my family and I recieved was magnificent from the staff booking the function to the wait staff and bar stewards on the evening. The views from the St Kilda Room and Terrace are spectacular at night. The meals served to us were not your average function food, the quality menu we ordered was just delicious. We recieved such great feedback from family and friends that we invited. Can't wait to return to the club and try the food at the Captains Grill Restaurant. I hear its very popular! Keep up the good work!

We keep going back to this restaurant because of the excellent friendly service, great food and the value for money. Also, the view is magnificent! What more could you ask for. We love the place.

One of the worst service experience I've had in a very long time, this place was terrible. First they forgot one of our entree's so we shared one and had to ask for the other when the mains arrived. Admittedly they were very busy but no excuse for unbelievable poor service. Meals themselves were ordinary to say the least, definitely won't be going back there!

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Captains Grill last Sunday. Considering how busy it was the service was excellent and the meals arrived very quickly. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. Will be returning soon.
