We went on the Sunset dinner cruise and really enjoyed it. The food is passable, but nothing special (although desserts were yum), but the view, service, and experience are great. Make sure you give yourself time to enjoy the top deck after eating!

My partner and I had the High Tea at Sea cruise. Was amazing. It was on this huge cruise boat. High Tea was very delicious and big serve. Service was friendly. Afterwards we went on top deck and its just beautiful up there. They have it all turf covered, and its so high up that its just a different experience to view the harbour.

    Response from Management:
Dear Brooke2606, Thanks so much for your outstanding review of our High Tea at Sea cruise.

As a company it is great to hear that we delivered a world standard experience on Sydney Harbour aboard our vessel the MV Sydney 2000. We agree that the sky deck onboard is the perfect viewing platform to experience Sydney Harbour and provides great photo opportunities.

Our whole team really appreciates your comments and we hope to see you and of course your friends very soon.

    Cheers

My wife and I went on the MV2000 Captains Dinner Cruise for our wedding anniversary. We went on a Friday night in January so we got a discounted rate. We were welcomed on board and immediately seated with a glass of champagne.

The food was absolutely beautiful. My wife had the Aubergine then Beef Tenderloin, whilst I had the Smoked Trout then Chicken. We even commented to each other how promptly each course arrived. We then went up to the top deck and took in the views whilst cruising around Sydney Harbour for the remainder of the 3 hour cruise.

The live entertainment consisting of a piano player, guitar player and singer, was pleasant but not to our personal tastes.

Overall it was a great cruise and would recommend it to anyone.

    Response from Management:
Congratulations on your wedding anniversary ! We are so plesaed to hear that you had a fantastic night and that you would recommend it to others.

Our Captain's Dinner onboard the MV Sydney 2000 is very popular for special event dinner cruises and we agree that the sky deck provides the best views in Sydney as you cruise the harbour.

    All the best

We booked our family and extended family on the New Years Day cruise, with a mix of all ages groups ranging from 2 years old through to 70 years, all in all everyone had a fantastic day! From the time we boarded the boat at Kings Street Wharf, we were shown the way to our table and the waiter immediately took our drinks order and shortly followed by our ALC menu order.

The length of the cruise was perfect, there was enough time to enjoy our lunch and then enjoy time outside on deck viewing the Harbour. The only part I would say needed improvement was the bookings team at Kings Street Wharf who I personally booked my tickets with (face to face), had I not called up on the morning of the cruise I wouldn’t have found out that someone had transferred our booking to another day, apart from that blunder, it was resolved quickly and everything went well on the actual cruise!

My husband and I went on the Captain's dinner cruise the previous weekend. For the price it was a joke! The service we had was well below average. Indeed we asked our waiter how long he had been doing the job. One week was his reply. It was obvious. As for the food, it can be described as ordinary "pub-grub".

I would expect to find this kind of food down at my local pub and pay no more than ten dollars. Really ordinary all round. Will go out of my way to advise friends and co-workers not to waste their money. Embarrassing that this "attraction" draws visitors from overseas. I cringe at the thought.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. Whilst we are never pleased to receive complaints we are always grateful to receive feedback which will help us to improve our product.

Please accept our sincere apologies for our apparent failure to meet your expectations. Even though it may be of little consequence to you, we can advise that appropriate steps have been taken to address the problems you have identified.

Captain Cook Cruises has been in operation for 42 years, and has built its reputation on consistency and quality of delivery of all aspects of its service. We hope you will accept our apologies for what appears to be a break down of process on the day, not a lack of genuine concern for our customers.

Many thanks again for your feedback.

We went in the off season at a discounted rate in the Sirius Saloon, a private room, with the a la carte menu and drinks package for my 50th birthday. The food was faultless and the service matched. Cruising Sydney Harbour by evening was perfect for a special event. Thank you to Angelina who organized the evening for us and the young man who waited for us on the night.

I had my 30th Birthday party with 30 of my friends and family in the private Sirius room which I could play my own music via my iPod. It really was a great night, the service was second to none, it rained for a little bit which was fine the food and service made up for the drizzle. Everybody enjoyed themselves and definitely do it again and recommend to friends.

My partner and I went on the Starlight Dinner Cruise on a Saturday night. We were seated at a table near the window and was served complimentary champagne on arrival. The entree of the salmon was absolute delicious. Pumpkin Gnocchi was very hearty and filling. The serving sizes were just right and tasty. I recommend the chocolate cake for dessert. Tasted like a 'Jaffa'. Service was friendly and prompt. Really enjoyed the entertainment and the exquisite views. Overall was a really amazing night.

Not worth the penny. It was most expensive cruise. For the money we paid we atleast expected good food. The food was below average. Not sure about the reviews must be written by the operators themselves. Very misleading. Better to take the ferry to another destination with a ferry ticket and experience the water.

My fiancee and I got engaged on the dinner cruise. We had the Sirius Saloon to ourselves. The setting was fantastic, the food was incredible and the service was top notch. I highly recommend having the steak, it was cooked to perfection. Thanks to all involved who made it a special night we will never forget.

    Response from Management:
Congratulations Rhodan. We wish you all the best and thank you for your feedback. Maybe you can book your wedding cruise now?
