The coffee is consistent and can be described as very very good, the staff are thorough professionals. The whole place is a traditional coffee house. Great coffee non stop.
The best coffee in Sydney! And I tried soooo many. Good I work close by and can go there as often I like. The coffee beans you can buy are really good as well.
I heard so much about the coffee here and decided to give it a shot. I was sorely disappointed. Perhaps it was just an unlucky experience (although a good barista should always be consistent) but my macchiato was bitter and burnt. I was in Italy for 3 weeks and had 3 macchiato a day and every one of them was better than what I was served at Campos. As for service, it was an exceptionally long wait.
This place is so overrated. Everyone behind the counter looks so scared, and the senior staff seems so rude. It seems that this place is more of a production line than it is a coffee shop. Cheer up guys coffeemaking can be enjoyable.
Been here twice, with all the great reviews on eatability and friends recommending me Campos, I still don't know what the hype is all about?? Average coffee, I've had better elsewhere.
Best coffee in Sydney, hands down. It's small, hot, and you have to wait a while... cramped in there with every other coffee deprived soul. But when you walk in that door, the smell of the place tells you you're in for something special. And when you taste that coffee, it's all worth it.
I have been told that to get a job at Campos, you need to make something like 30 coffees in 15 minutes, all of them perfect. I wouldn't be surprised. Campos is only one of two places on King street that I will go for coffee (the other being the Old Fish Cafe). Coffee should be made by those who love and understand it, and this is quite clearly the case here as I have never once been served a bad coffee at Campos.
