This is a great little cafe, and the food given the size of the kitchen, whilst simple is tasty and really well done. The coffee was always by far the best in the area however new coffee maker has meant that isn't always now the case. We always go there on weekends if we can get a seat and the coffee now is still ok but not close to the standard it was unfortunately. Still go, we do! We just hope it'll go back to how it used to be; fantastic coffee and super food in a very friendly environment.
My friends and I went there today after trying to find a caffe for Sunday breakfast in that area. We went because of the many good reviews and only a few bad ones. With two adults and three kids under six, anywhere was going to be put to the test with us coming in.
The menu was not huge but had something for everyone. My friend go the Big Breakfast which looked good and they didn't mind her sharing it with one child. I had the Eggs Benedict - my favourite which they did very well, as good as any I have had bar one B&B in Berry but that's another review. My children has Banana Bread, a big hit and Ham & Cheese Croissant toasted. The babycino's with tiny cup cakes were a huge hit and the little box of toys and book was, as any mother will tell you, a blessing.
The staff and owner (I think) were friendly and I would gladly go back again. It is not a big place though so leave your pram at home unless you enjoy the outside area (not in winter). I think the locals may be upset when word gets out about this one.
My husband and I found this place a while back and could kick ourselves it took us so long. Breakfast on the weekend is just the best in Gladesville and we have tried them all. The quality of food turned out by the guy who manages to cook in that tiny kitchen is quite incredible. They also remember us as regulars and no matter how busy, always ensure we have good service.
My husband always gets the big breakfast as he says it is the only one where the bacon and eggs have real taste! I went a couple of weeks ago and could not even get in the door so sadly had to go elsewhere.
Discovered this place on my way into work a few weeks ago. Lovely, laid back atmosphere, great food (I recommend the bacon and egg rolls and the vege burger) and fabulous coffee. The staff are great and there seem to be heaps of regulars who love the place! Great place to go for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.
The new owners have really made a difference here. The place looks great, love the garden setting and the food. Great coffee and my son and daughter love getting their free baby chinos (with a smiley face) and a tiny cupcake or Meringue. Nice staff too!
This really is the best coffee in Gladesville! I walk past nearly every day, 6 days a week, on my commute to work - there are certainly stand out staff members. The best time to hit this place is for a late breakfast on a Saturday morning.
Work upstairs and went with a few of us in the office. Realised no one was there. Anyway was ordinary and not much on menu. Ordered just sandwhich to be safe. Not comfortable environment as no one ate there? Boring and ordinary, and didn't look fresh?
Loved it there. I bring my kids all the time. The staff have no problems dealing with them and there are toys for them to play with, keeps them and me happy. Great coffee!
Went today for bite to eat with friend as I got a free voucher. Was very worried as there was no one eating there at all at the peak lunch period of 12pm - 1.30pm. Waited over 40 mins for boring toasted sandwiches. Honestly we were the only customers there and can see why they dont have any. Very ordinary and hard to get to.
