Great stop in the middle of the city for an authentic and I mean authentic italian bar experience with a dash of aussie style. I think its still run by 2 roman brothers and the quality of the food is superb. Service is quick, shuts at 4 pm but all the sauces and salads are made on the premises. Great paninos and focaccias with superb coffee, highly recommended. One point, in summer gets great shade so you're not stuck in the middle of traffic and pass bys..
I always visit this place when I'm in the city. Last winter they had one of the best minestrone soups I've ever tasted. Also they do a very good grilled vegetable focaccia. I don't drink coffee but it looks like it would be good. Very busy with suits at lunchtime. Small place with a few tables inside and a dozen outside. It's a nice place to sit - this section of Barrack St is a mall, like a continuation of Martin Place. The best thing about this place is that they have the Italian commitment to great tasting food.
