Stopped by on a busy lunch last week and my friend and I ordered the Greek steak and potato stew... an ideal meal for a cold winter's day. The service was attentive and friendly. The food is always of a consistently high standard. 14/20 and well worth a visit as witnessed by the roaring trade that this well established business does.
Came for lunch here today (on a Thurs afternoon) and it was great. The fact that it was crowded on a weekday despite its residential location speaks for itself.
I had the steak sandwich which was yummy - steak was tender and with caramelised onions was "put your thumb and index finger together and bring forth to lips" and on a toasted but soft baguette unlike some cafes which have theirs rock hard! Had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc there too which completed a perfect weekday lunch chatting with my mate while the sun streamed in through the large windows.
I've only managed breakfast here (a dozen or so times) but that's enough to form an opinion that Zoe is consistent in quality and service. I'll get back for lunch some time because I'm sure it will be just as good as breakfast.
This is, perhaps, the best Restaurant I've eaten at. The food is spectacular, the service is unreal, and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. The prices are a bit much for the portion size but well worth it!
Went here for a quick bite to eat today and was really impressed. I liked that the menu had some different lunch options opposed to the norm that Sydney cafes are doing at the moment.
I had the steak sandwich which contained a lovely, thick piece steak, caramalised onions that compete with my mums, honey mustard mayo, tomato and rocket on a beautiful crispy baquette, YUM!!! It was a great meal, and their fresh juice varieties are really good: I had pineapple, apple, lemon and mint; so full and only $15. I have heard the breakfast's are really good as well..... must try them next time.
I stayed in Sydney for holidays last 2 weeks and spend almost every breakfast here. Great place, nice staff, good and healthy food and very reasonable priced. Wish we had such a place over here (Rotterdam, Holland)!
Zoe wins with the superb range of ingredients, great flavours, generous portions both nutritious and naughty! Enjoyable mediterranean flavours, innovative combinations as well as old favourites! Freshly squeezed juices - inc. strawberry, watermelon, ginger etc. Risotto a welcome option for those who can't consume wheat. (rave on)
Bacon and egg rolls are $7.50 and coffee $2.50. So I don't know what the other reviewer is on about. This place rocks. It's been open in my nieghbourhood for 5 years are absolutely pumping for 5 years with the same regulars. How can all these people be wrong? Great menu, great coffee and great service, from a cafe that set up in a derelict neighbourhood and brought it to life attracting other small business. Thank you all at Cafe Zoe.
$9 for a bacon and egg roll. Coffee is good here but even more expensive than Starbucks. Had the misfortune of going here for dinner on one occasion as well. If they start doing that again, don't bother. In such a small place I still don't know how they forgot we were there.
