Came here for brunch and it was certainly pleasant but nothing sensational. The menu had variety which was good. Service was really erratic which was surprising considering there were a number of waiting staff. Appeared to depend on who you had for your table. Obviously popular with those who live around the area.
Love this joint. Their bacon and egg roll for breakfast on a hangover is divine. Coffee every day is faultless. Smiles make my day. This place kicks it in Pyrmont.
Based on the reviews on this site, I organised a dinner for 13 of my workmates and what a night we had! Firstly our night was made by Alex our waiter who was so full of personality & life he had us all laughing all night. We had to invite him for a beer at the end!! He really was impressive remembering by heart all 13 of our orders - everything ran very smoothly and all our meals came out with perfect timing. Can't say enough of the great service.
The food was great too - a wonderful blend of options and flavours. What also I found interesting was except for their 2 signature dishes (Lasagna & Calamari) their menu changes every two weeks!! Everyone enjoyed their meals immensely and we had a wonderful night. Thanks XXII.
On the Neecy and Nos dirty weekend in the City, we stopped at this place (I had made a reservation) on the way from our hotel suite to a show at Star City. Very pleasant surroundings with a buzzy cafe feel, we lapped it all up.
I enjoyed having the menu enthusiastically read out and explained to us in detail - the service was great. Neecy loved her meal which pleased me considering the whole weekend was to celebrate her b'day. I certainly enjoyed the Pork Belly I had. A little on the pricey side (I guess due to the location) but definitely still worth a visit.
Visiting from NZ for a conference, I came across this place on the recommendation of a colleague. She'd stumbled across the previous year, relieved to find such a gem of warmth and food integrity. I would always trust her recommendation but this was certainly the best idea she's ever had.
Went here for a pre show dinner and the service was great and friendly. The menu is creative and changes every 2 weeks. Desserts are a must, we had the Belgian white chocolate brulee and it was divine! Would go back for sure.
