Dinner tonight, great view, nice place, great bar. A little classy for my liking.

Food is top notch but serving is smaller than others of same level. Definitely not a pig out spot, if u wanna get fed this is not the place for u (or for me for that matter) (theres always somewhere else downstairs afterwards). Great service, very short wait between meals considering a full house.

Very disappointing pork belly. Taste for all other foods are average, so considering prices not valuable choice to visit. Service is alright, but not that great either. However, the restaurant has a fantastic view of Sydney Harbour. So I recommend this restaurant to the tourists who are willing to pay for the view, not for the foods.

We've been here a few times lately and we love it. The service is excellent. Lunch time is wonderful if you can get seated on the balcony. They were great and moved us out there when there was a gap.

24 Feb 2009 - great food again. The service was actually excellent this time. It does suffer a little from the staff hanging around gossiping. I had the gazpacho again and some veal medallions from the specials menu (to die for). Partner had the venison which was great.

Not keen on the arrive at 12:00 and be out by 1:15 rule but I guess they have the turnover to do it. We do enjoy the atmosphere and food however. If things get tight it will certainly bite them.

12 Jan 2009 - We took a family member here last weekend. It has always been a favourite. The food is consistently good. The service has always been good for us. I have seen a few negative comments but not experienced any issues. My favourite is the gazpacho with yabby tails and lemon creme fraiche. And what a view!

Went there for my parents' anniversary lunch celebration, so there were 8 of us (6 adults, 2 children). Service was good, they looked after the children very well.

Foods were nice, although on the pricey side. Barramundi was nice, but disappointed with the pork belly (why can't any good restaurant in Sydney make a good cracking in a pork belly dish? They need to learn from the Chinese restaurant). Dessert plater was awesome.

The location, ambience and view were magnificent.

The food was fantastic, crab cakes for entree with best prawn ever and seafoods for main were so fresh and tasty. The dessert, rhubarb pie was divine. The wine by the glass was not cheap but of a very high quality. The only issue we had was the 25 wait for a Peach Bellini cocktail for my wife to start the evening. Given that this was a 6pm booking and we had to be out by 8:15 this put a bit of strain on the evening. I say only a bit because we had an excellent table and spent the wait just soaking up the magnificient view. We will be back!

Went to Cafe Sydney tonight. Had the pork belly which was fatty and greasy. Very over priced meals. Could spend a third of this elsewhere and actually be unable to eat everything. Big plates here with nothing on them. Drinks ridiculously expensive. You are paying for the views.

Absolutely stunning venue for my girls school 35 year reunion last night. Top class service with all attention to detail given. Food fabulous and our at a good pace. Waitstaff excellent, venue location spectacular...go there again, I hope so Thank you Sydney Cafe for making our special night a spectacular success.

The best way to describe this place is: MasterChef dishes at unaffordable prices!

Small selection of complicated dishes executed to perfection, we enjoyed the Spatchcock and Qld Prawns. Ambience: outlooking the harbour bridge.

Service: best waitering I've experienced, highly professional, all waiters looked sharp, they obviously had gone rigorous training and selection, lots of staff make light work and they all looked like a very weel oiled machine.

Value: expensive with entrees around $25 and Mains approximately $40, drinks ~$10, you'll need to budget for this at roughly $100 pp!

What an incredible view! We took interstate friends here for a meal a month or so ago and had a wonderful night. The food was fantastic, the staff attentive but not over the top, and the atmosphere was great (although it was noisy so an intimate dinner wouldn't have been ideal).

Will definitely go back for another meal when we have other interstate or international guests visiting as the location/view is the reason to choose this restaurant above others!

We had the perfect night and the perfect table, right on the perimeter overlooking Circular Quay. But food and service was a bit disappointing.

First drinks came quickly and our orders were taken. It was then a long wait. Hand signals went unnoticed. Empty drinks glasses and no wine ordered, our food arrived. I had the Wagyu Carpaccio followed by the Pork Belly. Our wine arrived just after we finished the entrees. The Wagyu was tasty but too cold like it had come straight from the fridge. The Pork Belly was forgettable.

Come here for the location. Go somewhere else if you want to feel loved and eat some great food.
