Can't complain about the price or the vibe, but a disappointing breakfast. 'Scrambled eggs with fetta, mushrooms and tomato' should be more than three cold slices of tomato, a cold scoop of fetta and 6 button mushrooms with some eggs and toast. Maybe just a busy morning (ANZAC day?)

It's a shame about the staff. The food is good, prices reasonable, but the staff have the most horrible attitude. It's like I'm being rude because I'm ordering food, and I've been going to this cafe on and off for a couple of years and the staff have always been like this. When are they going to employ some people who actually smile and say thank you?

Fabulous place to shake off the day, the staff are fun and the owners are an absolute hoot! If you have children this is a fun place to take them...Big Vego breakfast is terrific and the tofu scrambled. Weekends are busy so get in early. Coffee is a hit too all round a wonderful cafe.

Staff are unfriendly and rushed. I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich which came out burnt. I'm not talking about a little over toasted, the bun was black and completely inedible. When I asked for another one I got grunted at by an angry bulldyke. Would not return here.

It'd been the worst experience of eating out, we ordered for 2 2 coffees and a big brekky on a weekday, it was the worst cup of coffee I have ever tasted and the brekky looked like it was sitting on their kitchen for 2 hrs before the served it to us, cold and tasteless. I would never go back to this cafe. When I told this to the grumpy staff they said that they have been busy inspite of empty seats around 11 am, they have lost 1 customer for sure.

Went for a Saturday morning breakfast. Had the baked beans which were Epic. Food came out pretty quickly. Noticed another reviewer mention the wait staff ignored them. Um, possibly because you're meant to order at the counter? Ha. The ambience is buzzy and cool. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

Came here for brunch on a sunday. The cafe was very busy, with the pleasant buzzy atmosphere of patrons chatting over a relaxed breakfast. The menu here is quite long, however, the cafe does not excel in any of the dishes. The standard of the food is very average, the physical environment is rather untidy and disorganised. I would not visit this cafe again.

The coffee is excellent and the food great. In the lunch time the service is great. The morning counter/barista staff need to at least smile when you get your first cuppa for the day.

We went to Cafe Sofia on two different occasions and both times we were ignored and not served. The first time for around 15 minutes and the second time for around 10. We just left and went somewhere else. I would not recommend Cafe Sofia.

The best cafe in Erskineville. My wife and I have been coming here for coffee and breakfast for 5 years or so. The service is efficient and friendly (but not overbearing) and the food is simple but consistently yummy. The owners obviously inspire the same loyalty in their staff that they do in their customers, the turnover is very low!
