Staff are unfriendly and had to wait forever to order. I never had to wait so long in any restaurant, to be honest. Thing is, it wasn't even busy.

Most terrible service and experience we have had at a cafe in awhile. We arrived just after their breakfast menu closed (unbeknownst to us) yet they seated us with breakfast menus. Once the waitress arrived to take our order, which was like 10 minutes later, she was rude, told us we couldn't order anything from the breakfast menu, they were busy, they were out of everything (even bread it seems).

We made an order for two coffees which took forever and then were terrible while we watched them set up a reserved table for 4 next to us with lunch menus, which we were never offered! Terrible value for the menu which is overpriced to begin with and ambience doesn't make up for it.

Don't go unless you like being served by rude waitresses and paying too much for it.

I visited this cafe with my family and kids and I was so disappointed and angry with the bad service. I waited nearly 10 minutes to be seated with my 3 kids and when I was seated they took over 20 minutes to come and take our order. The food took nearly 30 mins to arrive and it was warm and not hot. All I can say is not to waste your money as the food is over priced and the service and staff were so rude.

Food: Poached egg and Bacon was more like a main meal, large protion of bacon and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Ambience: Great little cafe inside Cumberland Forest to unwind. Value: $15 for Bacon and Eggs is a bit high.

Wonderful experience for 6 long-time friends on a picture perfect Fri 25 Mar 11. Had a booking and all was very smooth, friendly, efficient, food sumptuous and the forest setting so natural, peaceful, relaxing, price good, $25 head incl. 12% tip. It is all we expected plus some, 10/10, take your time and enjoy, it's great.

Nice setting, but it is a little off putting to see the Chef wearing a singlet top with his hairy armpits hanging over the food he is preparing. Having said that, there is no need to add any extra salt.

The food is ok, the waitresses are pretty and young, that coupled with the setting make this an ok, not brilliant experience.

We went on Wednesday and totally disagree with negative reviews. We sat in pleasant bushy outdoor surroundings, the service and food were good and at a reasonable price. We would definitely go there again.

We didn't even get seated! the service was that bad! There was only four seater tables free and we needed a table of 6, instead of getting offered to put 2 tables together (which any other place would do) we were told that we would have to buy takeaway coffee and drink it out the front where the cafe has no seating. Ha! what a joke! I wonder if they just didn't want to accommodate us because we had 4 kids or was it just the wait staff were that incompetent they couldn't even put 2 tables together?

No thanks, I would rather go somewhere with service and people who value my custom than stay and have takeaway coffee where we can't even get a seat, even though there were plenty available. I'm not usually 1 to write reviews but that really sucked and was very embarrassing! I put low food and value raring as I have to put something but didn't even get the allowance to try it by the staff.

I enjoyed the prawn caesar salad but the overall experience was pretty forgettable. It took almost an hour to receive our mains, we ordered garlic bread as an entree which never came, the steak that someone ordered had a huge piece of fat on it (I mean huge!) and the vegies for that dish arrived half way through. No apologies, nothing. Would never go back.

The cafe is located in such a beautiful location with the trees and the birds. Well that is good part.

Despite not being full, all the waitresses continued to get mixed up and never took our order. People sat down at apparently empty tables only to be told these tables were reserved. One group were moved and subsequently also missed out on any service and left without ordering.

On asking what was in one item, the waitress subsequently forgot us and was busy with other things. Finally the food was expensive for what we go: over $30 for a plate of mezze, a slice of cake and two drinks.

My young daughter who is quite patient even complained about the service. Save your money for the plants in the nursery and go elsewhere.
