A nice restaurant but from what we had, I wouldn't consider it an authentic Malaysian restaurant. Food isn't particularly memorable and probably would not go again just based on that. Service was quite good though and the restaurant itself was quiet and comfortable.

Come here all the time. Food is amazing, favs include kasturi fried chicken, rendang chicken, and nasi goreng. Prefer to seat upstairs, much finer atmosphere.

Came here on a quiet Thurs night with friends. Ordered the rendang ayam, cooked very well and tasty! Friends ordered laksas and they went down well. Service was very attentive and friendly. Mains at $15 are a fraction high around these parts (close to Chinatown) but the food and service was worth it. Recommended.

Nice little place with good food. Had the Chicken Percik with rice which was tasty. Good service.

The restaurant offers a very authentic and exquisite Malaysian foods that brings back memories of my trip to Kuala Lumpur and Penang back in 2005. The service is quick and the waiters had a broad smile while serving the foods, which makes me feel welcomed and comfortable while having my meals. The fine dining atmosphere, accompanied by soothing instrumental music, brings the mood up to complete a wonderful dining experience in Cafe Kasturi. Highly recommended. Friendly staff and well-experienced Chef.

Although the food was tasty, the service wasn't great. We'd made a reservation for a group with one of their set menus. Unfortunately, a few people couldn't make it but we were charged the per person rate for the number on the reservation, not the number eating. Kind of soured the aftertaste on getting the bill.

This restaurant serves very authentic Malay-Malaysian food. Prices are a bit on the high side for the traditional dishes. I like the environment a lot. It is a good place to bring visitors here. However, please note not all the dishes on the menu are Malay-Malaysian food. Some are Thai. Some are Chinese-Malaysian.

Tasty food and reasonably priced! The service is good, first night we went there we had our waiter explain where the dishes came from and what they go with best! I don't like the lighting over the tables though, as my wife said, it feels like an interogation room! Overall a restaurant I would recommend!

Located near chinatown. It is a singapore/malaysian restaurant? or cafe either way. Well my personal review towards this place will not be really outstanding. As always, I would ask the waiter which was the signature dish. And they introduced me to Hainanese chicken rice, which was steamed chicken and ginger rice. It took 20 minutes, fair enough but even more ridiculous, the portion was small and it was expensive for such portion, the rice was not good, the soup was bad. Dessert wasn't nice too. I wouldn't recommend it.

The time between the courses were a bit slow, but the food definitely makes up for it. Banquet menu is definitely the way to go, and I would recommend it for functions and parties.
