The food here is great, fast and generous portions. Staff can be rude and unhelpful.

I have been to Ella countless times over the last year since moving into the area. Even after moving away from abercrombie street, I visit Ella for the excellent food and drinks at pleasing prices. You can leave the place stuffed full after spending no more than $15 for food and drink. I would definitely recommend to all.

Service was friendly. Food is great here and good value. For a sweet/savoury lite breakfast, you can't go wrong with their homemade bagel with fresh ricotta and homemade jam. delicious. Dog friendly seats out the front but you might have to wait for a seat to bring your fury friend.

I have worked in cafes for over 15 years and am always impressed by Cafe Ella. The food is great, always fresh and fast and well priced. The staff have the right mix of efficiency and friendliness. The fact that can they swap duties whilst maintaining consistency makes it a a consistently enjoyable experience. My only complaint is the coffee, great baristas, crappy beans. Vittoria is horrible!

Cafe Ella has consistently delivered for us over the last 12 months. We have never been let down by staff or the food once over 100's of visits. Additionally the food is carefully and thoughtfully put together. It represents excellent value.

Fantastic cafe, the coffee and chai are fantastic, as is the lunch menu. In fact, you can tell how popular it is by the line out the door for coffee in the morning and I agree about the low staff turnover, obviously a happy team.

I love this cafe-they do fantastic coffee and their bagels are made on site and are incredible. It is the perfect little sydney cafe, with a rustic edge but very cool. Love it!

I go to this place most mornings for a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice to start the day. The coffee is excellent and the juice is sweet and squeezed to order, not prepared in a blender or, horror of horrors, referred to as fresh then poured out of a plastic container. About 3 times a week I go back for a snack and more coffee at lunch time.

Although I'm virtually a fixture at this place, I'm in the peculiar position of not having tried more than a fraction of what they have on offer. I have my main meal at night, when they're closed, so I go there to snack, not feed. I can say that the home-made bagels and cakes, and the rolls that I have tried, are delicious, plenty of vegetable content, always fresh.

The place is presided over by Pete, a local. The staff is young, mostly students, but the staff turnover is low - it is obviously a happy team. There is nothing fancy about the fit-out and furnishings, but it is scrupulously clean and tidy. There is a very friendly feel to the place. The clientele is a mixture of locals and people who pass through on the way to work, mostly at Sydney Uni. Always busy, but never feels overcrowded.

There is plenty of competition from other cafes within spitting distance, but I don't expect to be shifting my main base of coffee-quaffing operations elsewhere anytime soon.

I really like this place. It's a bit of a locals hang out and the bagels are GREAT! Have either the plain bagel with jam and ricotta or the rare beef or the salmon.
Chai is great as well.

Again another cafe where you have to order from the board on the wall!! This turns me off so much. Also the lady at the counter wasn't very helpful or friendly, also didn't like the fact that the only juice thay do is orange. Food was of average cafe style though.
