The trick to this place for breakfast is coming at around 8:30 or 10:30. On my second visit I did this and enjoyed it 10 fold. The food and drinks came out quick and the service was great, it's a bit rustic, but that's what it is. It has a lovely outlook and is very family friendly (including water for our pooch). We go there all the time and notice there are lots of regulars who do the same. I was surprised when I came on here and saw negative comments, it's a shame people only ever decide to write a review when they have had a bad experience.

Where do I start with this place, the service was all over the place, with two young kids having to wait an hour for our meals to come, then I felt bad as people who had ordered before us were still waiting for their meals, we got ours before them. My husband asked for a bacon lettuce tomato sandwich with no avocado nor mayonnaise on white bread, it arrived with avocado, mayonnaise, on wholemeal bread, lol!!!

After the waiting so long my husband just put up with it, and the bacon basically it was an avocado sandwich. I ordered calamari, whilst waiting I see the waiter bringing in this big frozen pack of calamari - hello it is Manly not western suburbs, it tasted disgusting, seriously it was like that packed calamari you get at the supermarkets. The lady (I think the owner) was very pleasant, and because she was so nice I just kept quiet. Must say though, coffee was lovely. Only come here for coffee and cake, outlook is pleasant. It was a real shame, could have a lot of potential.

Apparently new owners since last review. Food generally very good, particularly the breakfast wrap. Coffee excellent. Umbrellas could be better positioned for a hot morning, and eating area a little small if you happen to coincide with a large group of cyclists. Service very good.

Not sure what went wrong here. The service was so slow, the girls actually looked annoyed that we'd sat down. The food took way too long and was over cooked. Maybe with time they'll get better??? I'm not going to find out.
