We have been a few times and spent our NYE before the countdown at Brisa and loved it! Great value offered to us unlike the other overpriced places in Manly. I really enjoyed the variety offered by the seafood platter. And our scallops mornay were delightful too.
Poor service. The boss was really mean and intimidating. I ordered the fish and chips for $10.90 but I wanted it to be grilled. The waiter didn't tell me that it was going to be $18.50 just to have it grilled. I don't recommend going here.
I came here for brunch and I can't say I would return again. Juices came straight out of a carton (you could tell because you ordered the juice and it came within 30 seconds with ice), the sauce for the eggs benedict came straight out of a jar (a big no no for me) and the spinach corn fritters, were simply two round fritters without any garnish. Expensive for what it was and I doubt I'd ever return again to sample the menu.
This cafe's food is nothing short of superb. I took my family and my in-laws out for a meal and we truly enjoyed our experience here. It's a genuine family business, we actually were acknowledged here with a smile and they catered to our needs for changing a few orders around. I had to ask for an extra piece of bread so soak up every drop the yummy napoletana sauce the black mussels were in. We had a great experience. Highly recommended.
Came here with a few of my mates and the food was great. Service was decent as well with a nice waitress looking after us and always answering with a smile. Great atmosphere if you're looking for a nice dinner.
My partner and I have tried many different restaurants and cafe's in the Manly area and Cafe Brisa has definitely been the stand out one. I had Scotch Fillet and my partner had the Grilled Fish of the Day, which were both great dishes. When comparing prices to the other places around, Brisa had great value for what we got.
I'm a regular at Cafe Brisa and I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food is great and comes in generous portions for the very reasonable price. The service is always fast too, with friendly and flexible staff.
Coming from wollongong to spend a week in Sydney, we went out to manly for a couple days and decided to dine at Brisa. After the very mediocre food we had at crystal on the corso we were a little hesitant at manly, but Cafe Brisa changed that very nicely. A charming young waitress with a beautiful smile served us our food and we started with bbq balmain bugs. It went spendidly well with the lemon thyme sauce.
On the mains I had a perfectly cooked medium rare new york pepper steak, the meat was just right. Chips instead of potato went much better with this pepper steak. My partner had a mixed seafood plate for one. Maybe 'mixed seafood plate for one and a bit' since I took some calamari off hers. The portions were very generous for the price. We were quite satisfied and off to the wharf bar we went.
I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a sure bet for some nice food if they ever go to manly.
