Used my Scoopon before it ran out, could not get thru on the phone so i decided just to turn up. Big mistake! There was only one waiter, and the word "useless" doesn't come close to describing this particular gentleman. I told him to honour the Scoopon voucher and let me order any food OR drinks from the menu, as I have read other reviews here saying that the staff try and force you to buy both. The useless waiter tried to start an argument, which was funny as we were the only diners that nite (I wonder why?).
Food tasted like it was crusted with salt; the steak in particular. The bruschetta was laughable, but after reading the reviews here I was not surprised. Scoopon should be more selective when choosing the providers, becuase although Cactus Blue might have got a dud deal with Scoopon, I have a feeling Scoopon may have conned this tiny, incompetent place into signing. One of Scoopon's reps should have tried to book and dine here before making a deal with this useless place.

I purchased 2 vouchers from Scoopon for Cactus Blue. I spent weeks trying to make a booking. I don't mean casual calls - I Spent weeks. I sent an email, left two voicemails with weeks before expiry, and rang constantly.
Cactus Blue never replied via email or phone. With a week to go, they put on a convenient voicemail saying they were booked up. Based on the other reviews, I doubt it. I contacted Scoopon and asked for a refund. I was Refused. Shame on Cactus Blue, and shame on Scoopon. If groupbuy sites are going to advertise, they should not hang all liability on the customer and tell me it was 'subject to availability', when it is really subject to (dis)honesty. $58 down the drain.

*Warning* Went here on a friday night, booking the place was a nightmare, no one picks up the phone and when they did eventually pick up, we had to wait 2 weeks for a booking. It was probably because we bought a voucher that they didn't prioritize us at all.
We arrived and it took awhile for the waitress to seat us as they could not find our booking name in the book. Badly organized I say. We seated and ordered an entree to share and 2 mains. Before our food arrived, the waitress comes to our table with a jug of sangria and said it was part of our deal. We thought that was a nice touch until the bill came and was charged $30 for the jug of sangria.
Our deal was only $29 so it was Outrageous to see that on the bill when she said it was "Part of the Deal". Then an angry guy came to argue with us and said that we had drank it so we have to pay for it. Then he also said the deal said "any food and drinks" which we thought we could choose what we ordered. It is not strictly say we Had to order a drink but thats not what he said.
After reading reviews on here after the bad experience, I realised he lied to us saying that no customers have complained about not knowing you must order both food And drinks. Obviously lots of customers complained just from reading reviews on here.
Don't go here. You are just wasting your time and money. Worst restaurant/ business I have ever encountered.

Words cannot explain how terrible the service at this place is. After weeks of attempting to make a booking as they never answer the phone, we finally got a table. When we arrived we were told we were unable to use two Scoopon vouchers between the two of us (despite it saying otherwise on the voucher). We were willing to give the senior staff the benefit of the doubt, however, the subsequent lack of service left us speechless.
We witnessed two other tables beg for their drinks and basics such as water (we had to ask twice). There was only one floor staff apart from the senior staff who clearly couldn't cope with demand and the openly hostile attitude of the senior staff made us wonder why he is in the restaurant business.

I have never felt compelled to write a review before, until now. To not, would be a crime, given that last night it felt like I had been transported to an episode of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. This is a restaurant that doesn’t care and uses scoopons as a lazy way of drumming up business, although I would be surprised if any repeat business is the final outcome for this restaurant.
The fact that booking was a challenge in itself should have been a good indication as to the attitude and quality of this restaurant. Several phonecalls were not answered during restaurant hours and phonecalls were not returned.
The word ‘stingy’ seems to sum up the attitude and atmosphere of Cactus Blue.
Stingy on staff, stingy on attentiveness, stingy on food, stingy on value, stingy on service.
When we sat down to our table we had to move it so that we had the use of both arms in order to eat. The table did not sit flush to the floor so several napkins were used in order to steady the table. No assistance was offered by the two staff on board, and if they noticed, they didn’t make it obvious. It took 20 minutes before we were offered water and a menu, and I mean A menu, as in singular.
When asked if we could possibly have another one we were told ‘that’s the only one we have at this time’, interesting, given that the restaurant was half empty. Once we ordered, it took 1 ¼ hrs before two of the three main dishes made an appearance.
The first dish consisted of three, yes three, small prawns on three slices of chorizo, the rest of the plate consisted of bread. The second dish consisted of two weeny pieces of omelette and a splattering of rocket. 15 minutes later the lamb appeared, again, nestled on a splattering of rocket.
The senior staff and waitress did not appear to notice when our wine glasses were empty and when I did grab the senior staff's attention, he seemed inconvenienced and didn’t have the wine that I ordered, so offered me a different one and delivered it to me in a red wine glass. Perhaps, it was the only glass they had ‘at this time’?
At $10.00 a pop, I cannot help but think that the delay in receiving food is a strategic way of ensuring plenty of alcohol is consumed and the money made from that is what keeps this restaurant afloat. It certainly isn’t the quality and generosity of the food.
We departed hungry and disappointed, and the only inspiration I left with, was to write this review.

We used a Scoopon. I booked 2 weeks in advance and "Leo" Promptly advised me they were booked day and night until the expiry of the voucher. I got quite upset and pretty much made us fit in somewhere. When we arrived, only 2 tables were full, all others were vacant.
We arrived 15 minutes early, the first thing he said was we were 30 minutes early. Didn't make much sense to me, as if there were vacant tables, it would be better for him to seat us, and get us out earlier to allow more customers, given that he was "so booked out."
It took 30 minutes for our drink order to be taken and another 20 minutes for our beer and wine to arrive. Our food arrived about 20 minutes after that. If I knew that bruschetta would come out with every tapas plate, we wouldn't have ordered it. Its quite humorous really. But I honestly believe he ripped us off for being a scoopon. The garlic prawns and chorizo came out on one plate, quite literally there was One prawn each and Three thin slices of chorizo the size of a 20 cent piece.. thats it!
The lamb... 2 10cm skewers with 2 pieces of meat on it each. And the chicken, the fact that some of it was raw.. but there were Three 10cm skewers, so one and a half each. Needless to say Maccas was great on the way home. Would never go back, terrible terrible experience but on a good note, it was so bad it was humorous and adds for a great story with friends.

Couldn't agree more with the below reviews! Came here with a Scoopon voucher, but with hindsight, would've preferred to waste it! Staff was rather unattentive, we were forced to order drinks with our meals, entrees took an hour to come out?!
Food was quite average, and seating was also uncomfortable. To top it all off, 10% surcharge on weekends. What a joke! If you're looking for the worst dining experience ever, check this place out.

After seeing the reviews of this restaurant I wasn't looking forward to it but thought will give it a go. I must say it was the worst dining experience ever!
I had bought a couple of scoop on vouchers and thought we will use one of the vouchers first time for the two of us.
The waitress who wasn't very attentive took our orders, I ordered chorizo for entree and 2 steaks for main. Then after 25 minutes just before the entrees came out, the waitress comes over and tells us that we needed to order drinks as well as food for the vouchers. I thought it was a bit odd that she didn't mention it at the time we ordered. We then said well the voucher didn't say we had to and she argued with us and showed us the voucher saying yes it does "with any food and drinks".
I didn't realise "any food and drinks" meant you had to order both food and drinks and we weren't even allowed one drink. We ended up just ordering 2 drinks.
The entree came out at about 40 minutes later and then another half an hour for the mains. The steak came out and noticed that it wasn't a full steak but looked like it was cut in half and my partner was having the other half. It was so tiny and you could see the cut of steak in a straight line. It was so salty which wasn't enjoyable. It was like this restaurant was trying to rip us off and didn't really want our future business.
Meanwhile, there were another couple also dining with the scoopon vouchers and arguing with the senior staff of wanting to use 2 vouchers for the 2 people. The senior staff kept saying he's not making money and the voucher was 2-4 and saying negative things about joining scoopon, and realised it was a bad idea. The couple said that he should have just got out of this agreement instead if he's not happy rather than putting other customers through this horrible dining experience.
I have never come across any restaurant or business that can be so bad and not even care about it's reputation. The senior staff is unapologetic and doesn't want to encourage customers to come back. At this rate, there will be no one going there and it will eventually close down.

After several attempts, we were able to make a booking at 6 pm. We ordered food at 6.05pm and got our mains at 7.23pm and there were exactly 2 other tables. Linguine was all stuck together and was pretty bland. Lamb cutlets were the worst I ever had. So much salt. Rocket salad that came together on the same plate were literally unedible. Why do they use so much salt? my pregnant wife was extremely upset with the whole dining experience at this place.
Waiter was friendly but I bet this place would go out of business by easter. I would have wasted my scoopon voucher if I knew the food was this bad. Seriously go and dine somewhere else.

Went last night with friends using two Scoupon vouchers. Service was slow and the waitress was nice but kept having to check whether things were available. Prices on menu in restaurant were more expensive than the menu on their website - the steak being $5 more. Still not sure how I ended up spending so much more after using the vouchers. Even though the food was very good I won't be coming back. Too expensive.
