I went here at about 9.30pm on a Friday night after a theatre show in Stables. Quite cosy outside with the heaters, inside looked nice with heaters but cool in the winter's night given the aluminium seating and the kitchen closing down for the night. Staff on the ball giving they were winding down.
Ordered the homemade lemonade, was nice, burger variety looked good. Burger was piled high and hard to eat, patty was good but the type I really like. Relish and caramelised onion was tasty. Value is very good for what you get and would have like to order some more stuff on the menu like chocolate crackles just for nostalgia sake.
Fun to try, buns were really good. Would go again but not a massive burger fan anyway but would take someone for a good, cheap bite to eat.
Burgers are miles better than any you'd get at your average suburban greasy spoon. Have it with a side of crunchy chips and wash it all down with a milkshake or sugary soft drink. Calorific heaven. God bless America.
Been many times, this is one of the best burgers in Sydney (if not THE best). Well cooked burgers and chips, friendly staff and quick service. My only complaint is that it can be a bit grotty at times, but it is Darlinghurst!
I think the old vegie burgers are great although they do make a mess so make sure you have lots of serviettes at the ready. I didn't think much of the new vegie option - it was polenta or something but was bland and nowhere as good as the original one. Also the chocolate milkshakes are great - not made with fake chocolate sauce like most places. Don't expect great service or a long meal, it's a burger joint!
I go for the chocolate milkshakes. I would call them the best chocolate milkshakes in Sydney, based on the type of 'real' chocolate they use in them. I also like the burgers, wholesome and flavoursome, if a bit messy for the low quality serviettes.
Read a few reviews before going to Burgerman from this site and thought I would try it - I was very disappointed. The staff although friendly were not attentative at all, the place was grotty with our table having tomatoes sauce all over it. A waitress eventually cleaned it but it took nearly till the meal arrived for this to happen. The burgers were very ordinary, my partner summed them up as "a burger you would make yourself at home". I read also a few reviews who complained about warm glasses for their drinks, well we were served milkshakes in warm glasses with warm milk - a huge let down. The concept is good but overall the experience was disappointing, I won't be back.
Easily the best burgers in Sydney. Been there many times and never once disappointed. The lamb fillet burger is my favourite and absolutely delicious. Service and ambience are more of a casual flair but still wonderful. Ahh...yes, they sometimes serve cold drinks with a warm glass which is kind of disappointing but they certainly have the tastiest and the best value for money burgers in town.
The burgers are pretty good. I've came twice but after the second experience I decided I wouldn't be back. I asked for lemonade and it was warm when they served it. I asked if it was ok to have ice and I got the Look (And no ice). Small mistake but in the food and service industry, unforgiveable. Shame, the burgers were actually alright.
