I'm not a huge fan of burgers but I was impressed with my chicken and brie. Chips not too great though, bit raw on the inside. Very impressed with their gluten free buns claim as I have a relative who will really appreciate that.
I am a fan. I love it how the buns are soft and fluffy, the lettuce isn't shredded and the meat is good quality. The relish and aioli bring it all together. A modern hamburger with balanced flavours that isn't bad for the waist line. Strikes me how there's a complaint about 'too much salt on kumera chips..' ask for less salt, how hard is it!!! I think its a good concept delivered well, an establishment that is sure to stay on the King Street strip. The bar style seating is great for people watching.
The menu looked really different to standard list (and pricier too) but I was still confused as to what to order, in the end I chose the beetnik. It was ok, the flavour not overpowering and it felt healthy and fresh (didn't give me that oily taste in my mouth that I usually prepare myself for when entering a burger premises). The dominant flavour actually came from the bun... like another reviewed pointed out before, you can't but think of the cheap hamburger buns you can buy from the supermarket. I probably won't come back here again, not cos it was bad, but because I can get something better somewhere else.
Being a burger fan, I expected more from this place. The place looks very nice, and have a good feel to it, but overall, the meal didn't feel like it was much better. Will not go there again.
Very funky place, lots to choose from but surprisingly no plain/'regular' burgers offered. Staff were nice enough but when questioned about the food they seemed a little perplexed. I didn't think the smokey chicken really worked that well and the kumera chips were too salty. Aioli was nice though.
A little overpriced but you definitely don't leave feeling anything but full. Don't think I'll be rushing back any time soon.
I love Burgerfuel, not just for the fact that the burgers taste great, but for the fact that being a person with coeliac disease, I can eat them. I have found no where else in Sydney that makes Gluten-Free burgers, not to mention the high quality of the buns. I am slightly disappointed that they don't just make a regular burger.
Everything here has relish and aioli and while thats great, sometimes I just want a plain burger with processed cheese, onions, beet and bbq sauce. Also I have seen how giant and gross their flour-filled buns look, so even if you aren't gluten intolerant, give the gluten free buns a go, they're lighter, whiter and the more you buy, the longer they stay on the menu for people like me!
Best burgers ever, sure they are more expensive then other places but the quality is top notch. You get what you pay for! Will continue going, bacon backfire is one of the best burgers on the menu.
Tasty burgers that have fresh and healthy ingredients! The quality is consistent as is the friendly service, the organic cola is also great as are their milkshakes. Not the cheapest but with quality like this you don't mind paying a bit more.
I totally love this place. The staff are friendly, the music rocks and the burgers are out of this world. I tried the new gluten free buns last week. They are totally awesome like all their food. No other burger bar with such a following. Huge fan of this place!
