Good concept but it didn't work for us today: can I have some chips with the chicken salt??? - I should have posted a missing advert for them! The burgers were a bit mushy/undercooked. Overpriced and will not bother with it again as there are so many better food options around the spot.

I am a burger fan, so it is not difficult to get me happy with a reasonable burger...
These guys have a really nice place and the staff was extra friendly. Overall it had a feel of a "non-junk" food and seems fresh and clean. However, I was a bit disappointed with the burger itself, which didn't taste all that great, and felt too concentrated, like they have tightened it too much. The sauce wasn't that good either. So it's a nice place, but I came for a good burger...

We only ordered 2 burgers but they managed to get it wrong by putting the burgers on the wrong bread rolls. We made one of the burgers into a meal and ordered an extra drink, the drink alone cost the same as a drink and chips together. We shared chips but couldn't eat them because they were awful, it was as if they had been fried, went cold then fried again.

Decent service, decent burgers. Chips are brilliant. Bread rolls are the best around. Responsive management, they messed up my order first time but they made up for it the next time round.

It has a new name and logo but you'll still get the same great value as before.

It's ultra casual (no bookings, just pitch up, pay and order at the counter) and you can eat-in or takeaway. Burgers are fresh and tasty and - best of all - neatly sliced down the middle to make them easy to eat (no tasteless, squelchy fillings here). These little guys are just perfect.

Another nice feature is that you choose what kind of bread you want. If you "upsize" your meal to include chips and a drink, that only adds $3, so our bill for 2 burgers (one meat, one veggie; but stick to the meat) plus shared chips and drink came to all of $17.

If only they would tone down the overbearingly loud heavy metal music, it would be a nice place to relax too. It's well positioned in the heart of "The Spot", Randwick's hot new entertainment and eating hub. The open-air layout keeps things cool and allows you to gaze out onto the busy streetscape as you tuck into your burgers.

Surprisingly, despite it being a Sat night, the sit-down department wasn't very full, although there was steady flow of take-away customers. Perhaps, burgers get a bad press. But give this place a go and you won't be disappointed.

The best burgers in Sydney! The rolls have the perfect balance of crispy outside and fluffy inside, the beef is juicy with just a little crunch as you bite, and the ratio of lettuce, cheese and sauce is just right! No one flavour outdoes the other which makes every mouthful so good. The chips are super as well.

Very good fresh burgers and salad. Takes the "fast" out of fast food (and the grease). The chips with chilli and blue cheese sauce is terrific.

Sydney Gourmet Burger has to be the best place to get a burger in the world!! No, I am serious, you go to the USA and they are sloppy and fatty and greasy, SGB's burgers are juicy and mouth watering! With a great healthy selection. The fresh daily salads they are doing there now are great. Speaking of which the chips are to die for, don't forget to ask the kind staff for some dipping sauce (blue cheese and chilli, the best!). Well there you go, I almost feel like I should be getting paid for this or I'm the manager's boyfriend! HA! But it's true, next time you go to the spot, grab a bottle or two from the Royal and head down to SGB, and I promise, you will not be dissapointed!

Disgusting. The beef tastes as though it is mixed with pork and was very dry (not juicy) at all. The burgers are also quite expensive however, they do make a pretty good milkshake. All in all the concept is great but the burgers just are not. Give it a big miss.
