Great pizza's, great service, easy location and new garden open area perfect for sitting in the sun, Sydneys best kept secret, definitely worth dropping by and experiencing the inner city pub lifestyle, lovely staff, I'll be back for sure and I will recommend it to everyone I know

Too expensive for an average food. Maybe can try in happy hours only. Really bad karaoke nights.

Probably the worst café in Chippendale, lousy food, poor service. Save your money and head across to abercrombie St where the cool cafés live. Of course if you want to get trashed, this is the place.

I came with 10 people and every meal was just awful. My seafood salad came in a really ugly bowl, looked like from the bargain store and was badly presented (if at all). The seafood was tasteless and chewy (especially the scallops which were cooked beyond recognition).

The produce was all super low grade from the olives to the tomatoes and they had the hide to charge $19 for it. Everyone else had similar experiences, despite all ordering a variety of dishes. I will never eat there again. Ok place for a beer though and very nice staff.

Good place to come for cheap drinks during happy hour, but the food was disappointing. Ordered a burger which was pretty dry and I think the pattie was from Coles (no flavour), and the nachos which were okay.
Next time will order the pizza as they looked nice coming out of the kitchen. I must say the service was great and very friendly.

Quite good for a quiet meal and beer (on a weekday night anyway). As other people stated, their memorabilia collection is worth a view and the service is quick no-nonsense stuff.

My first impression when coming here was that it feels more like a pub than a cafe. After ordering and really sitting back to get a feel for the place, it felt more like a cafe. Quirky and rare posters adorn the walls and I'm not sure if my eyes are failing me but I remember seeing some antiques. Its an old place and very spacious.

The food is good especially anything that's snack size like the baklava. There are lot of well placed TV Screens. If they were to add a pool table and an ice cream or sandwich bar it would feel like your average European cafe coffees by day beers for meals and cocktails at night. More accessible menus and more table service are needed. I liked the place. One refreshing difference is the uniqueness of Broadway cafe. There's nothing in the decor or feel of the place that's been copied from other cafes nearby.

Even better the free wi-fi works perfectly. Will definitely return and very excited about having lunch there in future. Any freshly and carefully prepared cafe meal in a huge serving made by a decent cook in a cafe like the broadway is a gastronomic delight compared to your standard fast food chain.

We hadn't been here for years, we were so unimpressed by the place in the past. We came back because we got a leaflet in the letterbox, $7.90 curries (if a drink is also purchased). We were pleasantly surprised.

You can choose two curries (out of beef, lamb, chicken and vegetable) and the meal comes with rice, a naan bread and salad. The serves are enormous. I had beef only. It was very salty and tasted not much different from the Mexican chili beef you get in cans. My wife (who has eaten Indian food all over the world) was more impressed with her chicken and vegetable combo.

The service was friendly and efficient. Nevertheless a person, who seemed to be the senior staff, gave the staff a dressing down a couple of times in front of us. On the one hand it is a welcome rarity to see the senior staff of a pub bistro (which is essentially what this is) actually take an interest in the running of the place.

On the other hand, it was not too pleasant seeing the staff, who looked like foreign students presumably being paid a pittance, being treated in this way. The ambience is very good, a lot of wood, large booth-type seating, but still with the ubiquitous pub TV screens unfortunately. A very large and pleasant outdoor area, and views across to the quite attractive buildings on the other side of Broadway.

For a Monday night it was quite busy. As a budget eating place it is hard to fault it.

This place is lively yet relaxed. It has a real Uni pub feel, but a little more up market. Wednesday there's Karaoke, but it doesn't blast from every speaker, and when I was there the singers were quite good. Out door and indoor seating, like a cafe, hence the name. The owner Watti even came out and said hello, checked everything was ok. Nice touch. Not a bad place to make a regular stop. Lots of parking in the back streets even on a Saturday Night. Don't tell anyone.

Went to breakfast with 3 friends. One of the party wanted breakfast without an egg, turns out to order all the parts for a big breakfast individually (order taking person didn't have a key for 'no egg') costs a bit over 3 million dollars. First ordered food was delivered last, our friends had finished their food and onto their second coffee (hot brown beverage) before mine was delivered. Every part of the meal was wrong. Worst meal out I've had for years, it was embarrassing and vile.
