We had hair in two of our meals, and then there was some argument at the register as to payment for these meals. We had agreed with the waiter that we would only pay for half of one meal, and no payment for the other. The person at the register argued with us about this. In retrospect, we should not have paid for anything at all...what a disgrace! The service was really dreadful, and our waiter had greasy hair, which was not tied back. None of the kitchen staff wore hair nets either, as observed. I would never ever go there again, even though Bronte is such a gorgeous place. We should have tried one of the other cafes. What a mistake!

Being locals to Bronte and wanting to show my family the area and impress them we chose Brio at Bronte Beach to have my birthday dinner at. My review of the evening and the restaurant can be summed up in a few words...crap, unpleasant and disappointing and that was just the service..

The food was either off, tasteless or came out as the wrong dish. We should have expected something was wrong when it came time to ordering and half the items on the menu had apparently sold out yet we were the first sitting of the evening. My biggest disappointment however was the attitude of the staff. My final word....it is a bit of a worry when between entree and main a waitress addresses the table and asks would you like coffees and dessert now...it soon was clear they had forgotten our mains...but did they apologise???

Half the menu was unavailable. We waited 1.5 hours between entree and main and then the mains came out at 5 minutes apart. The mussels were off and the chef was more interested in smoking his fags than assessing the validity of our claim. A total waste of time and money.

The service was shocking. The fish and beef were unavailable at 7.30pm. One meal was sent back and one was uneaten. Never again.

I have had nice lunches here before, so my partner and I were extremely disappointed by one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. The seafood risotto that I had was tinned tomatoes and the rice was disaappointing. The prawn risotto that my partner had was as bland a dish as you can imagine. This is unforgiveable when charging restaurant prices.

Tried Brio for the first time because all the other Bronte cafes were full. Soon found out why no one was there! The place is unwelcoming and although some of the dishes on the menu sounded ok, they didn't taste it. The food took ages even though it wasn't busy. When we complained the frazzled owner was quite rude.

This has become our regular weekend breakfast spot. The french toast is delicious and the eggs always perfect. Very child friendly too, but there early because it is often very busy.

Apart the hopless service, rude management and flavourless food, this place is great. Shame cause the location is perfect, what a waste of space and energy!

Just to say I ate out during June at night I can't remeber the exact date but I came across this little seafood place called Brio - I had entree's and mains and the food was to amazing such great flavours and the seafood was just so fresh good to see a restaurant really using fresh produce.

The service was top notch, and they sent out this little soup in between the dishes which was nothing more than amazing any how just go and see for yourself.

P.S. the bread is exceptional all baked apparently on premises. Simon
