If your going for a beer its not a bad place, if your going for food in the back it's a nightmare. The service is terrible. We ordered food and one of the orders had been forgotten, let the staff know and they assured us it was coming, 30 mins later asked again and they admitted they had forgotten to put the order through again and they would bring it asap. Another 30 mins and asked again, and same excuse! They had forgotten to put the order through again! Spoke to the chef who rather than apologise just barked what did you order and then threw a piece of meat for it on the grill and said go and sit down. 30 mins later had to go back again. They chef this time had forgotten what he was doing so didn't bother continuing with the dish. After being told 4 times and 2 hours later finally managed to get the meal. After my guests watched me eat we left. They has the worst organised kitchen I have ever come across and rude disinterested staff.

Decent steaks but a very pricey for pub food. Can get similar quality, much closer to the city for at least the same price if not less. I live locally and find it hard to justify paying these prices for a pub steak. Not saying it should be $10 but I can go to Paddington and pay $20 for an excellent steak in much better surrounds.

We are regulars here on Friday evening after work and love it. The food is the best in the area. The chef Simon is delightful and always very helpful (partner is a fussy eater). You have to try his mash Potato! Yum yummy.

Went here for dinner on a Monday night. Really nice pub though a bit quiet. Had the Botany Bay pasta, which was pretty average and cost me $17.

Small bistro attached to local pub. The value steak meals can't be beaten for price and quality. Want a cheap and nourishing well cooked feed? This is the place. The chef is friendly and welcoming and knows his patrons. Family atmosphere with pub ambience.

It's been a while since I commented last but let me say that this venue has never let me or my friends down. This is a safe and happy environment which we love to visit.

Went here for Office Xmas lunch, excellent food and service. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Will be back. And we did go back for our xmas 09 lunch, still very good value for money and excellent food.
And 2010 xmas lunch... must be good. We keep going back!

What a wonderful and warm environment to walk in to, staff always smiling and eager to please, no problem to big or to small for these wonderful welcoming young women, new chef fantastic and his hands on come to your table approach is an excellent touch. New publican is a lovely lady if you haven't been you're missing out.

Well thank God that publican has gone. He should never have been in the business. What a difference and the old kitchen staff have returned. Now the staff seem pleased to see you and value your custom. Even the crowd is coming back. Its just like when the Old man ran it.

At last all our prayers have been answered, the pub has changed ownership. Gone are the rude and inhospitable staffs. Gone also is the arrogant management to whom everything was a problem.

The new bar staff are happy to be there, friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. We met the new Lady Licensee who is warm and friendly and nothing is a problem. You go girl, my girlfriends and I will definitely be regulars again.
