What can I say about Bona Fides. The place is a perfect example of what fine dining should be. I have spent the past month in Sydney and I always find myself back at Bona Fides whether its for a coffee or for the cervapi. Goron has a keen eye for what his costumers want (sometimes even before they know they want it) but it is his attention to perfection of every minute detail that makes the place what it is, a gem.

When walking in during the day, one will most likely hear some up-beat ambient cafe music, however, the tone changes through to the night for a softer more intimate setting. The open kitchen allows for the diner to interact with the chef and, speaking as a past cook, give the much needed praise he deserves. It is these and other tiny details that make the dining experience one to remember.

The front of the house staff are friendly and attentive and they know to stop and take a minute to talk to you instead of showing you to your seat for the fast turnover. Then there is the kitchen staff. Michael is an absolute genius. He will seduce you with his mushroom sauce alone. I swear Goron you should have it as an optional sauce for everything. Not that you couldn't, Goron believes that anything the customer desires the customer should get.

From the bottom of my heart, all of you at Bona Fides deserve kudos for your exceptional service, your friendship that I do cherish, and especially for your melt bruschetta. I will be in touch from Canada and I hope you all go nowhere but up from here.

The atmosphere was perfect, the cevapi was fantastic, the staff very friendly and helpful in all aspects my friend had the grilled fish which she fought was very fresh and cooked to perfection as we both work in the same industry, we will be back.

I found this to be an incredibly nice place to eat. The food and service was outstanding and the wine selection. The atmosphere could be a little improved as it is a little noisy at times but overall this is a fantastic restaurant and will no doubt become one of my favourites.

A gloomy ambience, could detect smell the mediterranean at the first step. Ordered a prawn salad, outstandingly Fresh, both salad and prawns. Would love to go back to try the breakie.

Lovely and inviting atmosphere. The food was magnificent, light, elegant, tasty, generous portions with a mouth watering mix of flavours and textures. Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient.

I think the coffee was best in town. It was so creamy and smooth. Bona Fides is definitely value for money, remains a top cafe on my list.

I discovered this place with my boyfriend on this website. Its a small cafe/restaurant this is a type of place that you're scared you won't get enough or the food is too fancy that you don't know what it is. This is basically a place of simple food which was delicious. The coffee is nice and because I'm a soy milk lover, their soy latte was absolutely superb.

I've just discovered this place, since recently moved from overseas, and it became my favorite. Find it very european with mediterranean and balkan food(love it), delicious, great valued with big serves! I can recommend it to everyone with confidence. See you there, because I'll be a regular from now.
