I took my wife and family here for mothers day. We were given a set menu for lunch, I would have preferred a full menu but maybe next time on not such a busy day.
The food was fantastic, the beers very refreshing and the desserts finished off a perfect meal. The only disappoint aspect was the service, we had to wait awhile before they took our order, that's ok, but to have to ask for them to clear the table was a bit much. Then for the loonngg wait for dessert with no offer of tea or coffee and a lloonnngggg wait for the bill. I know it's not much so it won't stop us returning.

It is lucky that we live in Narellan, so this restaurant is 'our' restaurant.
Great food, service generally is pretty average, but most of the time, once the food hits the table, all is forgiven. Tasty and the owner is German, which is a plus, so you know you're getting the real stuff when it comes out of the kitchen.
Just note, their mega massive Bauernschmaus is for two people only, if a third wants to join in, you'll be charged an additional cover.
Bookings a must if you don't want to risk not getting a table or waiting too long for the turnover.

I have taken my family to this restaurant a few times and it has always been a great experience. Both of my teenage kids have requested this for their birthday dinner! It is nice to experience different foods and absorb yourself into another culture even for an hour or two. The Euro/German theme with the music and waitresses create an ambience that is believable.
With drinks (depending on how many beer steins you want) entree, dinner, dessert and coffee you are looking at $140+ but you will really feel like you have had a good night.

Even though we didn't have a booking and it was a busy Saturday night, the lovely hostess in her German dress seated us. The 3 of us visited for the first time and enjoyed our meals.
The atmosphere was great with lots of happy people seated around us. I did order a glass of water at the end of the night which never arrived. But all things considered I would gladly go back and bring my family. Thanks for a great dining experience!

I stopped by last Sunday night. They were very busy, but we luckily had a reservation. I dined with three other friends, who are right into eating European cuisine.
Service was a little slow, and out waitress appeared tired and bothered. We were left unattended for long enough that we placed our meal order when the waitstaff finally came around to take our drinks order. The kitchen works fast though, in the past I remember meals taking forever to come out, but on Sunday night we were left waiting just a few minutes after our drinks arrived before receiving our meals.
I had the Lamb Goulash special, which had been slow cooked and served with a bread dumpling. The meal was excellent home style cuisine, not dissimmilar to my mother's cooking. My partner ordered the Thuringer Wurst, which was simple, yet hearty. My sister had the Goulash also and her partner had the Jaeger Schnitzel, served with spätzle and red cabbage. Which looked impressive.
It is evident that the owners have been focused on turning this restaurant around with regard to getting meals out to customers. They serve simple German style dishes, which are large and hearty. I think they are really let down by their staff though, who could be a little more friendly and, perhaps, a degree more attentive.
I would definitely be coming back for the food though, which is really all that matters.

For those who like to look up a restaurant's website before they go, don't be fooled! the site may look like it was made with MS paint, but the Bohemian is actually pretty darn awesome.
We were shown to our seats within a minute, even though the place was packed with large partys. (this was a few days before Christmas) Glad we had a reservation.
We shared a fried Camembert entrée which we enjoyed. Boyfriend had the venison schnitzel (served natural, bacon-mushroom-redwine sauce, comes with spätzle and red cabbage) and was raving about it. After I stole a piece I Had to agree it was great.
I had the bohemian skewer (grilled, skewered chicken and vegies, comes with chips and aloe sauce) which comes suspended over your plate. It was so good I refused to let Boyfriend try a piece! (greedy little pig am I). For dessert, Boyfriend got the apple strudel (which he loved) and I had the chocolate mousse, which was a little bitter for my tastes but still quite good.
Drinks wise you can't go wrong with one of the german beers on tap (litre steins available, but not on menu) and if you're feeling a little adventurous try a shot of the "devils herb" It's amazing.
The music was fantastic (lovely older gentleman playing the accordion and occasionally singing) and the waitresses are all costumed. Speaking of waitresses, they could have done better. They were very attentive, but seeing a smile was rare. (I know it's packed and you're exhausted, but you're getting paid. I can smile at the end of a busy day when I volunteer. Can't be that hard when money's involved). And they lost our desserts for a while, but to their credit The issue was swiftly fixed.
Overall, The night was fantastic. Good music, good food (and lots of it!). Would definitely go again.

Came here for the first time for a Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the experience. Very German style decor, old guy in the corner playing live piano accordion, and friendly service.
The menu has a wide variety of mainly German dishes - with a few other Eastern European style ones (although those cuisines do kind of overlap a bit) - don't come here expecting a healthy lightweight vegetarian meal! There's also a wide selection of imported beer from the theme region.
I had the Schweinshaxe (Pork Knuckle) - it was a huge serving - lots of tender meat and plenty of delicious crispy crackling. Only thing that would have made it better is for mustard to have been a side you could slather on, rather than just a relatively small dollop on the plate.
Service was relatively quick and friendly, although it wasn't particularly busy. Will definitely be back with friends and family to explore the menu some more!

This place must have had a radical change over the 2 years since the last review, are we talking the same restaurant even? as it'll be a 40 Day Heatwave in Alaska before my family and I waste our time and money here again.
Food, Grilled fish, swimming in butter and tasted odd, certainly not as saltwater barramundi should taste. Mash - again with a pool of melted butter in the centre, hello Arteries! Salad - pickled cucumber was novel but I expected 'a salad' on the plate.
Service - waitress was churlish, argued she had taken our entree order then found she hadn't..ho hum. 5 times we had to chase up our drinks order throughout the meal. 3 times we requested table be cleared of used glasses and plates...didn't happen. Churlish Waitress slapped meals on the table then refused to come back for further orders, probably a good thing as my starving, thirsty partner was ready to do a little slapping himself.
Menu feedback - those that don't eat meat, more than likely, don't eat heavily fried or creamy foods either, the so called vegetarian mains of a selection of fried entrees? Yuck!
Meat-eaters feedback - ok but could have had a more creative hand with the spice-rack. Sauces were heavy. Our neighbours at the next table assured us the beer was good, we would have preferred to make our own judgement but got fed up, actually 'unfed up' waiting for ours to arrive, so we left instead.

My Husband and I went to Bohemian restaurant, we were greeted by german music, a great atmosphere and staff that could not do enough for you! The food was terrific, we could not finish it all! The servings were plentiful and overall it was a great night. The restaurant was full and we cant wait to go back so we can try the other dishes and take our children! (the kids meals looked terrific too), feel comfortable knowing that Bohemian caters for the entire family!

We went there for our anniversary. It was a last minute decision and we only just got the table in the bar. The place was full, the food was delicious, the service was impeccable, the whole experience a delight! Highly recommended!
