Best Argentinian Grill in Sydney with a Uruguayan twist (the owner). Had Mothers Day lunch here and it was fantastic. Great Argentinian Malbec as well. Mmm.

I've tried this place twice and both my visits were great. In my opinion, they serve the best BBQ meats in Sydney (or at least in what I've tried of Sydney restaurants). Besides the good taste and the perfect temperature of the cooked meats, they serve it on a sizzling hot plate that keeps it warm and lets the amazing bbq smell hits you even before you start eating.

This place for me is a must try and I will definitely be back again.

We finally made it to Boca after walking past so many times! We were greeted and promptly seated luckily for a Friday night and no booking. Our Waiter was helpful and explained the dishes to us, we had a share plate of cured meats as entree and the mixed steak platter for 2 as mains. To be honest the platter was too big, could have fed 4 and we were 2 guys. We had a side of very garlicky but delicious fries, we ordered another salad to add some green to the dinner.
We washed this all down with an excellent bottle of Argentinian Sav Blanc.

The ambience and music made you imagine you were in Buenos Aires and the service was very good and smiles from the staff made you feel very welcome. My only complaint was the value, very expensive! the green salad we ordered extra was $15 which had some watercress and a bit of spanish onion and 4 tiny pieces of avocado in it which came in a cereal sized bowl? that was a bit outrageous, also yes the wine was nice but $47 a bottle, a bit over the top and this is a liscensed venue, however, we did have a good time and would recommend this place.

We recently ate at Boca from a recommendation for my Aunts birthday and it was such a treat!

Between 4 of us, we got 2 meat platters (one platter between 2) and we ended up taking home a doggie bag! The meat was tender and full of flavour and the side salads and empanadas were delicious. We shared desserts between the 4 of us and again, we weren't disappointed.

The service was very friendly and it was a nice touch having Sth American staff serving in a Sth American restaurant! The decor was fun and I'd recommend seeing the cute little courtyard upstairs. A little bit of Alice In Wonderland picking the right door!

We've been a couple of times now and would have no hesitation recommending Boca.

Great restaurant! I went to boca with 5 friends to celebrate my birthday and I love it! We ordered 2 meat platters that come with sausages and salad and chips. The meat has a smoky flavour (which our waitress explained it's given by the coals they use), and as entrees we ordered some provolone cheese and empanadas, delicious! You can dip them in chimicuri if you want a touch of chilli! We were upstairs and enjoy the hole night, the guys serving us were very friendly and recommended us a good malbec to go with the meat. We'll go back!

This place is horrendous. We went one night because we felt bad about just going to the same great restaurants over and over again (see Almond Bar just across the road from Boca) and thought we should try somewhere new.

We sat on the balcony upstairs overlooking Victoria St. They've done a great job decorating and it's certainly unique being able to dine overlooking Victoria St on a summer night.

The food was just terrible. BBQ-ing cheap chicken thigh fillets and over salting them does not make a dish Argentinian. The meat was dry and over cooked. The service was slow. I've cooked better empanadas at home. How hard is it to cook an empanada?

The wine is average and over-priced. Nothing was value for money. When the bill came, the waiter accidentally passed wind at my partners eye level, apologised nonchalantly and walked off. They have a lot to learn. They would not get away with this food in Buenos Aires.

Went with an online voucher on a weekday night so got a balcony seat. Empanadas were tasty but meat tray for two was disappointing, as was the dessert. As noted in a previous review, definitely better meat served up at a home bbq, and this is supposed to be their speciality.

Service was fine but not particularly friendly. The value was reasonable for what we paid but it was suppose to represent over $150 value, I would have been hugely disappointed had I paid this!

Such a shame as the place has a lovely set-up and a balcony seat lets you watch the world go by. That said, I won't be going back in a hurry.

Went to Boca with a voucher last night and loved it! The staff were very friendly and helped us with to pick our meals, the emponadas were amazing and the meat was really tasty. My only complaint would be that we couldn't sit on the balcony because it was already full. Will definitely be heading back again!

Went to the Boca Argentinian Grill on voucher providing supposed 10 course degustation menu. The place to be in this restaurant is almost certainly on the upstairs balcony, unfortunately, we were give table downstairs where the ambience and atmosphere is not great.

The ten course degustation menu is essentially delivered in three sections and entree, meat selection with accompanying fries and salad and concluding with three small portions of the desserts. I was so looking forward to this event but sadly the food was very disappointing. As a meat lover, the meats served up were only average at best and I could certainly cook up better quality on my BBQ at home.

The deal came with four glass of wine, two whites and two reds. The two whites were served immediately and the two reds were supposed to accompany the service of the meats. They were not and we had to ask for the two red wines at we had completed the main course.

I guess the only saying, you get what you pay for, is applicable to this restaurant, and while good value of the face of it, it did not deliver. For the meat lover probably far better off paying the full fare at the likes of Braza in Norton Street.
Shame really because surely the 'vouchers' deal are a promotion designed to encourage repeat business and word of mouth. Sadly, in this case I would not return and not recommend to others.

This is the first time I left a review for anything because I was so disappointed at this restaurant. I went on a date to Boca last Friday 26 /11. The food would have been nice if it had been at least warm, it was cold, the size of the sharing platter was Tiny and you pay $66 for that? The cheapest bottle of wine was $40.

When I asked our waitress if she could please recommend something on the menu as we have never been, she replied " ummmmmm no" and walked off to get another waitress because her english was only slightly better. We finally ordered and waited 1 hour for the food to come out cold.

When asking for our $40 of wine the waitress came back with the bottle in hand was about to open it and then walked away. When she came back she told us that there was no more of that wine left, I told her I just saw it in your hand. After about 30 minutes of back and fourth broken english we requested the wine menu again , every wine was out excpet for a $75 Chardonay. So we had no choice and ordered that until the other waitress came back with the original wine and said they do have it now.

The setting on the little balcony was nice, there were a few coackroaches crawling around but hey you can't help that in Sydney. Over all I would definitely not recommend this restaurant, bad food, bad service. Where do they get off charging so much for this? I guarantee this restaurant will be gone by March next year 2011.
