We came for dinner on a Sunday night and were a little disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and cosy at night, I suppose the “fireplace” is the outdoor heater they had stashed behind the door? but the food and service are below average.
The pizzas were quite forgettable, the menu itself is quite a mix of everything from nachos to spring rolls with a couple of pizzas, not making much use of their (could be great) woodfire oven and we didn’t eat anything to write home about.
The waiter was half asleep, it took her a good two minutes just to explain that a certain drink was no longer available and when we asked for the guacamole and sour cream to be served on the side instead of on our Mexican pizza, she seemed to nod and understand but the pizza came loaded with the stuff.
There are too many other great cafes around King Street to return here again, I do hope they pick up their game because it’s a great spot though.
Pizzas were quite nice, and if it had been a sunny day, it would have been lovely to sit outside. Unfortunately I specifically was hunting for a restaurant that had a log fire, which this eatability listing says it does... What it should say is that it has a large wood-fired pizza oven, Not a log fire for the patrons to enjoy. Bit of a difference. Still, the food was yummy, and I'd go back again.
