Just love going to Blue M for breakfast or coffee & cake. Staff are always friendly, coffee fab, choc milkshakes are made like they should be. Lots of flavouring & ice-cream. You must try the mushrooms with goats cheese & the eggs benedict are perfect. Cakes are always changing so you never get bored. Taking home some of the local produce is always a bonus. Thanks girls!

This cafe is a real gem. Friendly staff with great personality, true mountains ambience matched by great food. Have been here many times and have never been disappointed. What's more the prices are very reasonable. Cannot believe the misinformed reviewer who said there are booths in this place, I think they are confused about where they may have visited, there are none here! And there is nothing resembling the comments on the food or service either, to say the least I was very cross to read this damaging review. Bravo Blue M, you've won me!

This post is a response with regards to the comments posted below.

I have been living in Katoomba on and off for the past two years, and Blue M is one of my favourite cafes in town. The food is fresh, locally sourced, and beautifully presented. The staff are laid back and welcoming, and the coffee is as good, also sourced locally, from the Blue Mountains Coffee Roasters. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, both inside and on the veranda. The cafe is located in a beautiful vintage house, which is set back from the road, with an herb garden in front.

It makes for a wonderful place to stop for anyone walking (or driving - there's parking in back) on their way to view the Three Sisters. As to the comments below. This person is talking about a different cafe entirely. Blue M do not have booths, nor do they have anyone from the UK on staff. They do not serve any sort of lemon pancake. They do not have an upstairs, nor do they have a bathroom with a shower in it. There is not even an upstairs for said bathroom to be in the first place. As a local and regular, I feel the need to point this out.

This type of comment is immature and completely damaging. Why would anyone post such scathing remarks when it all could have simply been a mistake and a bad day? Show some humanity and control yourself and consider the effects that sites like this have on businesses and their reputations. Get it right next time.
Cheers.

Each time I am in the Blue Mountains I find myself drawn to this cafe at least once per visit. I sit in comfort on the large wrap around veranda, or if the weather is unpleasant I sit in the warm and sunny dining room. Either way I am so comfortable that I can sit for hours writing on my computer ordering great coffee one after the other. My daughter loves coming with me to this very child friendly venue and wandering around the garden looking at the flowers and watching the parrots feed in the tree.

The food is very reasonably priced and arrives well presented and hot. The staff are always welcoming, I am greeted with a smile each time and am always impressed that they remember my name and coffee order, even though I don't go to the mountains more than once a month. A very enjoyable cafe. It's hard to find a more pleasant dining experience anywhere!

And as my daughter is leaning over my shoulder while I write this she is urging me to mention the very delicious hand made ice cream that they recently added to their menu!

We ate here last weekend, have been several times. The staff were really welcoming considering how busy it was. The food is really fresh, had the most delicious chilli scrambled eggs with homemade baked beans.

This place has the friendliest atmosphere, you are made to feel really at home. They have a really good range of regional gourmet products too and make their own preserves which appear on the menu. Our children were equally welcome with colouring books and free baby cinos.

Nice outside sitting deck, plenty of off street and on street parking. I had lunch and enjoyed it but I was hoping for a bit more WOW factor, it was a bit simple. Having said that I could not fault its freshness. The place is old but looks clean.

I enjoyed looking at the deli section at the front of the cafe. I spent more money in that area than I did on lunch.

Cafe is a bit difficult to get to if you don't have transport, as its 2/3 of the way to Echo Point, food and coffee was OK.

Service was a bit lacking and our bill was wrong but got it sorted. Art Gallery and garden was interesting.
