I've gone here many times, and I always enjoy it. The food is simple but it's always good and nicely presented. Admittedly the service tends to be pretty slow, but the staff make up for this with their warmth and casual friendliness.
It's the kind of cafe where you feel right at home. I like going by myself, with a quiet book over coffee. And my wife and I have also gone on the weekend to enjoy a meal with live music. And it's one of the few cafes where we also enjoy taking the kids - they have a good, affordable kids' menu, as well as books and toys to keep the young diners entertained.

This place has such a funky vibe but you can not fault the food or coffee. The staff are friendly and the food that is served is just like homecooked meals. Definitely worth giving a go!

Yummy, yummy, yummy. Limited menu, but rest assured that whatever you order will be great. Good coffee, nice decor, friendly staff. I definitely recommend it.

As a Glenbrook local my partner and I eat at the Blue Tongue about once a week. Yes, the service can be slow, but the food is always fresh, they have extensive vegetarian options, nearly everything is healthy and all of the cakes are homemade, there are not many cafes that offer these kinds of options these days (and at very reasonable prices)! I would highly recommend the Blue Tongue for a laid-back meal, it is a real favourite with the locals of Glenbrook and very much a 'community cafe'.

This cafe is a cafe. It is clean, has friendly staff and the food is satisfying. A breakfast here provides a solid foundation to a pleasant day in the Blue Mountains.

The decor provides an eclectic eating experience and this is complemented by tasty wholesome, "homecooked" food. Coffee is great and service is very friendly.

This place is nice and cosy with a menu of good home made meals. I appreciate the ambience during the night the most. I'm not a coffee person so I cannot comment on the coffee but the food has always been satisfying particularly the gado gado.
The service has been quite good when I have been there. They even put up a group of 8 one late Friday night and extended their waiting times just for us. If you are looking for five star modern flash interiors and fine dining this would not be the place for you.
