Went to Blue Plate on a Friday night with my partner. Was the first time either of us had been there. We didn't have high expectations as some of the reviews we had read weren't amazing.

I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, not great, but It definitely satisfied us. Was a little on the expensive side, but the dishes were quite large. I have to commend them on their excellent service, all the staff were very attentive. Will definitely come back.

We enjoyed a really fun night at Blue Plate. There is a real passion for creating great American dishes. The Salmon is extraordinary. The wine list is not extensive but satisfies. Definitely worthy of a return visit.

I highly recommend Blue Plate for the onion rings, potato skins, salmon, blackened corn and the pumpkin pie. Also sampled the pecan pie compliments of the chef and it was divine. The wine recommendation was superb. Can't wait to dine at Blue Plate again.

Went here during the week. The other reviews are very accurate in the description of the food as average. The fried chicken was very basic and way overpriced. The burger was average and squashed up on a small plate with the "bottom of the bag" french fries. The potatoes in the potato salad were undercooked. The ambience, however, was reasonable. Despite this, I would not recommend Blue Plate Bar and Grill and will not be returning.

Overpriced average food with couldn't care less service. Buffalo wings were ok nothing special at all, for the price was expecting something amazing. Ribs, again, very average, dry and with a weird sauce. Waiter seemed keen to go home and therefore was rushed in serving us, left finished entree plates on table after serving mains, didn't bring drinks, forgot to give napkins, and when reminded (nicely!) of this received an eye roll and a sigh. Hmmm.

Well we headed here specifically for the Buffalo Wings. And they were great. The rest of the meal, however, was truly average. Poorly cooked steak, odd sauce/meal combinations, undersized portions. This could be a great little place with some attention paid to the kitchen. Staff and restaurant itself were great but the food was a total let down. Better off ordering Buffalo Sauce off the net and cooking at home.

If you want american style fare with decent ambience where you are not crammed in, then this is a good place to try. They do some southern favourites like hot wings and jambalaya very well. The shared platter is great but their home made lemonade is very sickly sweet so bear that in mind if you are ordering it.

Pretty poor. If you have dinner for more than 12 the senior staff will heavily persuade you on the night to order from the set menu otherwise they will charge you an extra 12% to order from the menu. The senior staff even went as far as to tell me that they've "had groups only give us a $3 tip" and that "it helps our staff". To which I replied "Well, the tips are dependant on the service". The meals are expensive, pay your staff a fair wage, they deserve it. This is not the States.

Buffalo wings are okay, not sure what all the fuss is about. Strong smokey and sour sauce and lots of it, if that's what you're into. I had the steak with salad and fries which was not worth the price (cheap pub quality). Sauce was good.

First time I tried pumpkin pie, at first I thought it'll be strange and yep it is. I think I'll stick to pumpkin in a non dessert form. Hershey Bomb is good, but share that one, it's rich and heavy.

Strange decor for an american diner. Bit cramped, be prepared for staff bumping into you.

We were really disappointed! The restaurant looks great but the food was pretty awful. We had to send some of it back. The chips were only warm. The bread was stale. The ice tea was super weak - nothing like in the South. The pulled pork was bland. The chicken wings were the only thing that was ok.
