Fantastic! This was my third time here. This time a group of four at lunch time.
All of us were happy with our meals. The salmon salad was a standout, as the salmon was perfectly cooked. The cocktails are also delicious! The three mushroom ravioli was rich and filling. Kudos to the staff, who were friendly and really added to the atmosphere despite being busy. We used vouchers and were still treated like any other guests. Highly recommended.
Visit 19/04/2012 - Still impressed by Blue Orange! The service was fantastic, the food was served quickly and the quality of the produce was superb. We had 8 tapas share plates, ranging from rocket salad, haloumi, chorizo and olives to harissa prawn skewers, mushrooms and fresh chips. We then ordered the ricotta panna cotta with espresso caramel and shaved almonds for dessert. It was scrumptious! We loved it! Definitely planning on going back...again!

Would love to review restaurant but they are too fully booked to honour their Scoopons. Take the money but not the bookings.

Blue Orange is a fine restaurant. I took our family there to celebrate our son's 15th birthday. Ambience was casual, comfortable and not too noisy. Staff were attentive, attractive, patient and helpful. Food was excellent, especially the calamari entree.
Two points, I had to get up and remind the waiter at the bar that the waitress had forgotten my request for a second glass of wine, he almost beat me back to our table with the glass brimming! The waitress could not tell me what time they open for breakfast nor did she offer to inquire.
In spite of this I think that these people are trying to impress, good food, ambience and service in a lovely location (Bondi Beach). We'll be back.
11-04-2012: We went back to Blue Orange last week and found that the food was still very good. But I need to extend my sincere appreciation to the new waitress (she said it was only her second night on the job). She was very attentive and took an order for four people (entrees, mains and drinks) by memory and got it all correct! She visited our table regularly throughout the evening to ensure everything was Ok.
Finally, after I mentioned that we would not be walking back home to Bronte, she ran out onto Hall Street to grab a taxi for us. Madam you are a treasure and we will be back often.

We had dinner here on a Friday's night. The restaurant seating area is very nice with the open windows and cushion seats. The service was very nice and friendly but they don't speak very good English which made a bit difficult to communicate with them.
The food was amazing. It is at the level of a fine dining restaurant. We will definitely come back to try more dishes.

Came here on a Saturday night with the in-laws to celebrate a special occasion. The place itself was very casual with it's furniture and layout of the restaurant. The waitress was very polite and easygoing and quick to explain what was included in our vouchers.
The entree platter was really yummy and the mains we ordered tasted good too. The main complaint being that the alcohol that was included a glass of wine each was poured with the glass half full. The beer option came in a small glass the cheapest on their menu.
Service was ok given that the restaurant was half empty at this time, with dishes taken away as soon as we were finished. Would come here again in a more casual setting for lunch or dinner.

Went to this restaurant with 3 others after getting a voucher deal for tapas. We were expecting only the tapas as that is what is written on our vouchers (plus a glass of wine each) so imagine our surprise when the waitress insisted we pick a main also as that is included. We questioned this 3 times no less, and asked for our vouchers back to read them (they had hastily taken then away as soon as they saw them). We checked again "Are you sure mains are included?
We are happy for the tapas as that sounds like a lot already and sounds like good value" She insisted it's all part of it. Imagine our delight (sarcasm) when we get a bill for over $200 where, you guessed, the mains were listed on the bill. When we discussed with the senior staff, he shrugged his shoulders and said the waitress is new, gone home already and there is nothing he can do as we had ordered mains. He made it sound our fault, even though we checked 3 Times whether this was correct or not. He was rude, the staff were unhelpful, and I was embarrassed that I took international guests to a restaurant that ripped us off.
I will not be going back to this place again and would anyone visiting here with a voucher to stay away. They Will try to rip you off...Save your money and don't get burnt like we did.

This is a slightly late review as I don't usually leave reviews but thought that Blue Orange deserved a good review.
I bought a voucher from Jump On It a while back and had not booked until a week before it was expiring. By that time, the restaurant was booked out but they were kind enough to offer a week's extension. Even then they were booked out for dinner, but offered lunch (although initially the voucher was only for dinner). Although this was not the best value for my voucher, I was very impressed with the service as not many places with these discount vouchers would offer an extension, or give alternatives so that the voucher can still be used.
When I went the food was great especially the antipasto platter. And because they did not skimp on serving sizes and let me order as much for lunch as one would for dinner, I had to have a doggy bag for home.
I will definitely be back there again in future even without a discount voucher.

What a beautiful place! The owner was incredibly gracious and friendly, the young man who served us was friendly and efficient and the cocktails were great. There was a slight hiccup with our food to start, and the staff and owner handled it with true professionalism -- they apologised profusely and repeatedly offered us drinks on the house. Absolute stars in service!
For starters, we shared an antipasto platter. It was very tasty and everything was beautifully presented on a wooden board. There was prosciutto, goats cheese fetta (YUM), smoked eggplant dip (mm...), crisp herb bread, sun-dried tomato and a slice of melt-in-your-mouth bocconcini (wow) and a rocket salad with a fantastic balsamic dressing.
For mains, I had the Classic Grilled Salmon Salad. The salmon was done perfectly! Soft, tender and juicy on the inside with a crisp skin on top. The portion size of the salmon was a little on the small size (seeing as it was around the $24 mark), but the orange and almond salad was incredibly generous, and I was more than satisfied at the end. My partner had the Three Mushroom Ravioli and this too was cooked to perfection: al dente packages of rich, aromatic mushroom in a smooth, creamy ricotta sauce.
The desserts were also very nice -- a rhubarb and apple crumble with vanilla ice cream and a ricotta panacotta (almost as fun to eat as it is to say!) in an espresso sauce. The decor was lovely, service outstanding and the food cooked to absolute perfection. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended. The amosphere was nice, the staff were excellent and the food was divine, the serving sizes were good. We had three courses and left feeling more than satisfied. I recommend the antipasto plate for starters, and the crispy skinned salmon. It was delicious. Definitely going back.

What a great restaurant in Bondi. I dined here as a group of 4 and all of us will be back. The staff were busy but attentive and food was very tasty and looked great on the plate. My only criticism is that the restaurant was slightly cramped but hey its Sydney, and more importantly Bondi. We had a sneaky look at the breakfast menu and will try it next I think.
