I have been to this venue a handful of times, and the service is always bad because the bartenders seem to think they float a little higher than all us pesky customers. However, it is tolerated because the views are amazing and the cocktails are pretty good. However, I will never step foot in this place again.
The service we received on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago was the worst service I have ever experienced from one of the bartenders. He was arrogant, rude and utterly disrespectful. I even had two comments about him from customers standing next to us at the bar. This place needs to do some customer service training, don't they realise a happy customer tells a friend, an unhappy customer tells 10.

We only had a drink here on Saturday afternoon so I can't comment on the food. Amazing view but if you are after somewhere with a bit of class forget it. Service was shocking too.

Terrible service, rude and slow. Drinks are severely overpriced and mediocre at best. Good view but limited seats take advantage of it and many other places have equal or better view.

Although my husband and I enjoyed the view and the very relaxed sophisticated vibe from the bar, the service was a little lacking. Due to the fact that they were busy it took a while to get them to take our drink orders. Blu Bar on 36 is worth at least one visit to enjoy the view.

These cocktails actually aren't that expensive when you take into consideration the incredible view, ambience and class of the establishment! The cocktails were around $20 and the service was great. The prices were the same for the table service too, just book a table in advance and you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely appalled with the service. Ruined our entire night. Had to wait 15 minutes for 3 of us to be seated, which given the venue a short wait was to be somewhat expected, however, still frustrating.
Then after ordering our (pricey) cocktails, we had to wait over 20 minutes before they came out. I have never experienced such bad service anywhere in the world! Sitting for 20 minutes without anything to drink was shocking, and we were blatantly ignored when I stood and attempted to ask the waitresses to enquire where our drinks were (and order water while we waited).
Finally received our cocktails, which were very nice. That and the gorgeous views are only redeeming points I have to make on this venue. 5 minutes later and only a few sips into our drinks, we were told to leave because the bar was closing. No refund was offered, so I requested we be allowed to at least finish the drinks as we had waited over 20 minutes for them to arrive (there were still a few other patrons in the venue, we weren't the last ones there).
The waiter then tried to tell us we’d already had our drinks for 30 minutes, to which I replied that would have been nice as that's how long ago we ordered them, and requested again that we be allowed to finish our drinks as we did not want to scull them in a hurry (what happened to responsible service of alcohol?).
We left very disgruntled and very unimpressed with the venue. We will not be back.

Went there the other night and had a great time, the cocktails were a little expensive but worth every cent, I tried the aztec conquest as it sounded really interesting and it blew my tastes buds away. They also served drinks in tiki mugs and little cooper cups which seemed really good and different. All the staff were really nice and friendly and the service was very efficient. Also did I mention the view, amazing. Will be back soon.

We went here for pre dinner drinks and it was wonderful. The cocktails were superb, in fact we liked the first so much we had a second. In regard to price, they are no more expensive than what you would pay at any top hotel around the world. It's not your local bar around the corner, it is in a top Sydney hotel, in the CBD of a major city, offering spectacular views and service. Perfect start to an evening and well worth the expenditure.

Lengthy drink list, with one show off cocktail worth $10,000 with a diamond in it. This just looks good on the menu but I think hardly anyone would buy it (unless too drunk of course)! Just a conversation piece really.
We didn't book so we had to wait for half an hour. The views were great, so we didn't mind. The complimentary nuts were nice. The cocktails we had cost around $20-$22. Exxy, but worth every cent. We will surely return.

Went here for a sedate hens night a few weekends ago. We did the cocktail class (saturday from 3-5 pm) and then stayed for a while. The class was great, better than expected and almost more alcohol than we could drink, it was $85 a head, I couldn't drink that night so they did mocktails for me and only charged me $45 when I was happy to pay the full price as we hadn't let them know ahead of time.
We were also 20 minutes late and they still ran the class for the full 2 hours which was really nice as they open at 5 and it starts to get busy. After the class they took us through to the lounge where we gazed of the harbour with our remaining drinks. They may do themselves a disservice with the class because none of us wanted anything more to drink except water (but we aren't big drinkers).
There were also some canapes during the class. It was very nice in the lounge and I'm hoping to go back there soon and maybe even get some friends to go to the class. The drink prices are expensive, $20 for cocktails and $19 for mocktails (probably be more inclined to buy them if they were less than $15 given they have no alcohol in them and aren't any larger), but the view is great and the lounge is full but not crowded.
