There’s definitely something fishy about The Bligh and it’s not on the menu. The reviews posted here by other “diners” don’t reflect my experience. In summary, this is standard pub fare that sounds better than it tastes. It’s quite edible but nothing special. The shoulder of lamb looked like a large lump of elephant dung - grey/brown in colour. The wagyu burger was just OK. If it really was wagyu meat why would you mince it up and cook the hell out it?
The worst thing here is the staff. This place has more staff than diners and they’re all wearing remote mikes as if they’re in a Steven Seagal action film. That’s where the comparison ends. The food waiters won't take drink orders and the drink waiters want nothing to do with food orders. In the end we were incorrectly charged for 2 additional mains and even the manager couldn’t work out how to do a refund. Bar prices are extortionate. Very annoying.

Best bar in Sydney? Its an ok bar. It is definitely not the best bar in Sydney. I used to go there a lot after/during work. Service is ok, a lot better than some other places. Can get crowded with suits, but I suppose its the local for a lot of places there.

Went here based on very high (suspiciously high actually) reviews. Maybe they were written by people with an interest in the Bligh? Anyway, this place is good for a chat, not too busy. Had a good range of drinks inc bottled Hoegarrden beer which is a favourite of mine. The food offering is pizza, they only have a small menu but it came quickly was well priced and was delicious. We had the Bandito pizza and the Funghi pizza and they were great.

If your over the queue's at other bars around the harbour then meet here for a great night out. The bar staff are charming & they have a good selection of wines.

Went there for lunch on Friday with 3 friends a couple of weeks ago and the place was packed. The guy at the front told me there would be a 20 minutes wait but he had us eating in 15. The menu is simple but fresh and tasty. Decided to go there on Melbourne Cup day and we had a sensational time. The lamb and the salmon were the best we've eaten. Congratulations on such a well run venue.

What a fantastic local bar! They have different specials every night (eg. 1/2 price pizza on Tuesdays, 1/2 price cocktails on Thursdays), the food is yummy and the service is always friendly. When they forgot our order a while back, they gave us all a free round of drinks. And the bar is always nicely crowded without being uncomfortably packed.

All this time and I never knew this great bar existed!! Bar was busy without being packed and service was still outstanding! Food and drinks both great, atmosphere was buzzing and people were all friendly and relaxed. What a great place for thursday night drinks!
