Would not recommend... Average food, rude service and out dated environment. A real let down!

Great cafe, food is always delightful. My favourite is the pasta's and the chicken ceaser salad. The servings are nice and large, totally worth the price. I will definitely recommend this place.

I was a regular here until I moved out of the area. Used to be the place to catch up with friends, and it never disappointed. Great little cafe, the staff do a great job.

I have never been to Blackrose when it wasn't full of customers and yet the service and delivery of food still maintains a fair speed. I have found the wait staff to be rude and stand offish but the atmosphere from the amount of people in there is always pleasant. The food portions are always generous and having been a frequent customer have tried most things on the menu.

In my experience the chicken risotto is very satisfactory not at all gluggy like other places in the area offer and the bruschetta is fresh and delicious, I have found the calamari to be very chewy and would not recommend it.

Went there last Sunday ordered garlic bread, spinach and ricotta roll and pumpkin soup pretty ordinary. Staff had no care attitude, no plates given for the garlic bread. Bread crumbs everywhere. Boring.

I love going here. The food is very tasty and well priced and the staff are extremely courteous. I recommend the chicken caesar salad if you want something light and if you like anchovies, try the Macri pizza...very nice!!

I ate here on Saturday night with my Mum and boyfriend. We really enjoyed our meal and the wine I picked was pretty good (tried the Blueys Nose Sem Sav Blanc from WA). We could hardly see Mum over her mountain of Calamari, my boyfriend had chicken/prawns and veges in a very rich tomato sauce and I had creamy pasta. Can't say whether it was the food or not, but the next day wasn't good for Mum and I - both of us were physically sick... but everything tasted great on the night!!!!
