Went for a birthday, the menus were sticky food was average to poor in quality, service was ok but staff seemed a bit under trained knew nothing about the menu, dessert menu was uninspired and probably out of a packet. Go here if you have no tastebuds.

Have been around to many Restaurants. This could keep up with any in Leichart, Haberfield areas. Read one of previous comments regarding SurfnTurf meal, mine came out ok. By the way its Scampi on top not a Prawn as previous commented.
Service was a bit better than average, friendly. Meals and drinks came out reasonable times. We always want price to be cheap!. If thats the case we can all go to Maccas! haha

Had dinner there on 3/2/12 with a group. I had the Scallopini Oscar and couldn't fault the meal. The noise within the restaurant was quite high, but our group was definitely contributing to this. Only real issue was the time it took for some to get their coffee orders and a few incorrect coffee orders needed to be sorted. We bought a birthday cake with us and there was no cakeage charge. Dinner averaged out at $35 pp (no dessert).

Dinner on Saturday Night with another family. Menu is tired. Staff tried hard but my meal and my wifes meal was delayed (as they gave them to another table) while all other guests on our table got their meal. We waited another 20 minutes. Surf and Turf was not even at an RSL quality - it was tastless and slushy. I had rare and wife had well done - both steaks were cooked the same.
Daugether had Spagetti Bolagnese - worst she has ever eaten. Staff tried hard and were the highlight of an otherwise very ordinary night. Won't be back.

Wish I'd read the reviews here as we had a very similar experience to the reviewer from 29 October 2010! A colleague recommended Biviano's so we gave it a go.

The pine nut bread we ordered was nice but the scallops required a fair amount of effort to prise them off their shells. We had ordered the Balmain Bugs with sauce and rice from the Specials menu and also the Surf & Turf (to be cooked medium). We got Balmain Bugs with salad and a surf and turf that required me to scrape away all the sauce to find what I'd been served. There was a large prawn split in two and a well done steak once I found it. After 5 minutes I then had to ask for the wine we had ordered at the start of the evening which was meant to have come with the meal.

I would have made a bigger fuss but this was my wifes birthday dinner so, we followed with strawberry pancakes and while the strawberries and gelato were fine the pancakes (crepes?) were not and appeared to have been badly made using a supermarket premix.

The one positive was that the coffee was excellent despite it being served before the dessert. The staff seemed young and new to the job but it wasn't like the restaurant was packed out. We only sighted the manageress when I queried the bill at the end. We got an apology for the lack of rice but were informed we were being charged for what we had been served.

Not surprisingly there was no gratuity offered and we will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone.

My husband and my few friend dined here on Saturday night for the first time. What can I say the food was wonderful but the real highlight of the night was the service. It was such a busy night but still we got our food on time. Thanks to the waitress we had one of the most enjoyable dining experiences. We will definitely be back and recommending this restaurant to many.

Discovered this in the last 12 months and have been nack about 10 times already. Great place for our 3 kids. Have never experienced the service issues some others describe.

Food variety is extensive and they are very happy to do special orders where we want them. Meal sizes are generally large and its rare we can squeeze in dessert! Food quality very consistent, not a top end place in terms of taste or presentation but certainly not disappointing and tends to exceed our expectations for this style of family restaurant.

We have tried much of the menu and have not had a meal we disliked yet. Tucked behind McDonalds in a business park, its not at all what you expect when you walk inside and see a huge well fitted out two storey restaurant!

BYO makes it cheap and value for money has to be one of the best in Sydney. Pizzas are great and the amazing number of people coming in all the time to pick up take out suggests its very popular for this. We'll continue to be regulars.

Take away pizza on a Friday evening, great! Eating there on a Thursday evening and ordering a main that was not a pizza, disaster! The service was extremely slow, at least they were friendly. We had the deep fried camembert with cranberry sauce as an entree which was nice, but then had to wait over an hour after that for the main. I had the Surf & Turf (sounded like it had a nice Italian twist to it) and asked for the steak medium.

The steak was well done and tasted like cardboard. It was on mash which was lumpy and had no flavour! The prawn on top was lovely, but the sauce they smothered everything in tasted like it was made by a 3 year old. It looked like it had vegetable garnish in it and any cut up veg they could find. It just a can of tomatoes with cream in it, it tasted horrible! My husband had the Veal in a creamy sauce and he said his food was very bland, no flavour and he was very disappointed.

In the end, we left our plates and left. The Maitre D' asked us whether we had a good time and we both said no and explained about the food and the long wait. She proceeded to get stroppy by saying that we'd been only been there 1 hour 10 minutes. Actually, we got there at 6:45 pm, got the main at 8:15 pm and left at 8:30 pm.

Have not had such a horrible restaurant experience in years! Not recommended, unless you're just having pizza.

Not a bad restaurant for an Italian restaurant that is not owned nor operated by Italians themselves. Service was quite good with our order been taken quite quickly and food came out promptly although we were the only people dining as it was a 3 pm lunch that we were having. Staff were very friendly and service was with a smile. Will be back to dine at this place again.
