Eaten here a few times. Its a little out of the way (wasn't easy to find the first time). Has more of a cafe feel about it than fine restaurant. But, food is very good and you can't argue the excellent value for money. I can't see why you wouldn't be very happy to pay what you do for the 5 course degustation. Up the road you can easily pay twice as much for food not as good as it is here (NB this is not an excuse for a price rise!). Wish I could draw smiley face.

Have come here a few times and I've never been disappointed. There is always something new and exotic to try. Wide range of drinks to chose from. Staff are attentive and pleasant. No wonder this restaurant is spectacularly popular, it is the best of the fine dining scene. Well done!

Very good value and interior of the restaurant is stylish and spacious, and the fresh flowers and candle lights added a nice touch to the atmosphere. They have some very nice wine there but we found the pasta dishes to be too buttery for our liking.

Having been burdened with the job of finding a reasonably-priced fine-dining lunch venue for 20 plus chefs/teachers of commercial cookery appeared to be a daunting task. That is, until I considered the poor misfortunate chef that would have to meet the expectations of these argumentative, hard-to-please, know-it-all culinary experts.
I am pleased to say I found a venue with a relaxed ambience that appeared to conciliate the savage beast comprising 20 chefs. Without pontificating about the food and appearing to be over-enthusiastic, it is best to describe the experience with a few comments from the guests themselves, thus: Referring to the 120 day aged grain-fed angus beef fillet, "The meat is perfectly cooked and tender" and " How rare it is to find a chef that knows the correct amount of sauce per plate".
Referring to the pate, "Smooth and creamy, almost like a parfait". However, the two biggest compliments one could possibly give a chef's food are: All plates from three courses (that is, 60 plates) were returned completely clean, and from the 20 predominantly knowledgeable and crabby chefs, there was not one complaint or even the ubiquitous know-it-all constructive pieces of feedback.
Suffice is to say, all savage beasts were satiated.

No cocktail list, then after one Caprioska they ran out of limes, a piece of plastic from the tray they make the apple tartin with no apology and still charged us for. None of the staff smiled-food great but everything else disappointing, will never return-bad attitude.

Justin and I would like to thank Cher, Marc and the very talented team at Bistro Lilly for a night to remember. It really was some enchanted evening.
We chose to have our wedding reception at one of the best restaurants we've had the distinct pleasure to dine in. All communication was done via interstate with every detail covered off to perfection by Cher & Marc. The team were insightful and incredibly professional. From the very beginning, Marc & Cher were delightful, supportive and open to an intimate post wedding dinner party for 25.
In consultation with their chefs, a sensory wonderland unfolded. Their signature five course degustation menu was designed with matching wines to each of the courses. We were tantalised with fine French champagne to delicate Australian boutique wines which left the palate begging for more.
The fine selection of courses sampled our guests with the freshest and most colourful ingredients, showcasing the best of tradition and modern French cuisine.
The food presentation was beyond artistic and flavours exquisite which could only be complimented by a romantic ambience.
Our guests travelled from across the globe and across the country to be met with the most incredible culinary experience. Bistro Lilly is by far one of the Sydney's best kept secrets. We believe it would rival any of the top five. The attention to detail by all staff concerned was unparallelled but unobtrusive, something that anyone in the industry could only aspire to.
We have travelled all over the world and do so frequently. We have and will continue to recommend Bistro Lilly to any discerning diner or Corporation who seeks an intimate dining experience, quality and service that will remain with them for many many years.

Our boss took us here for a special end of year dinner. The food is spectacular and so full of some fantastic flavours. I had the Canadian scallops for entree which were cooked to perfection and for main the confit of duck which was also excellent. Service is faultless and the dining room has a great feel. I will definitely be returning here to try their degustation.

I ate here for the first time and probably the last. Service was reasonable, although the waiter was keen to clean up our dishes before they were finished. Quality of food served was mediocre, the scampi in the risotto was more of a prawn and overcooked. What shocked me the most was been charged $21.50 for scallops and been served 2 small scallops (sans shell). I didn't realise I was dining at a Michelin Star restaurant! Very disappointed.

It was very very quiet so ambience didn't really apply. Staff were pleasant and friendly and the food was good but not especially memorable.

I have eaten here twice, once as a Business function and the other with friends and both times I have found the food to be consistently good and service professional and friendly. The menu reads well with lots of choice and some very interesting and imaginative dishes. Highly recommended.
