We enjoyed our dinner here, we did the degustation. They were small portions however once you had all the courses I felt like I'd had enough to eat. It was good quality food and well cooked, but to me the combination of flavours was not as exciting as other restaurants in this sort of price range. Service was very good. The atmosphere is nice, it's low-lit and quiet so a romantic setting.

We decided to try the Degustation menu. We have to say that it was a great decision. The food was well made and impeccably presented. The service was attentive without being over-bearing and the ambience was contemporary and relaxing. Highly recommended! We will be returning.

Owner/waiter was abrupt and disinterested. Scallops and duck were undercooked.
Quite expensive compared to other Bistro of French discipline and of higher quality. At least, the beer was good and imported. I will recommend people not to come here.

Would definitely recommend going to this restaurant if u get the chance. Service excellent, quality of the food was very good and the setting beautiful overlooking harbour and sydney.

We dine out very regularly and generally only choose hatted restaurants. We ate at Bistro Lilly, this time on a voucher. The restaurant is nicely appointed. We had the 6 course degustation with a complementary glass of champagne. We also ordered extra wines to complement each course, an extra course of scallops and a salad (which did not arrive).
The food varied across the courses, the best probably being the cannelloni. The creme brulee was also very good, but this is a no-brainer.
The service was efficient, remote, disinterested and unwelcoming. We will not be returning.

Had an office Christmas lunch and the service was fabulous. There were several other tables that had similar large bookings. Despite a full booking, the service was efficient and wine/water glasses top up regularly.
Some of us had the 6 course degustation and some had the ala carte. In the end the 3 course meal ended up as the same price as the 6 course. Several courses of the degustation were the same size as the ala carte meals. However I was disappointed with the small serve of the pork belly. It was a really small slice. Would have loved a bigger slice as it was delicious and left me wanting more. Other than that, the entire meal was very very satisfactory.
The maitre’d was very efficient with a napkin and soda water when someone spilled red wine on me. There was no fuss and no charge for the bottle of soda water.
Based on the service and the meals, I would return. Thank you for a very enjoyable lunch.

My husband and I went to Bistro Lilly on the 29th of November for our anniversary and it was amazing in every way it could be. The food was superb the service impeccable and they really made our day feel really special. We'll be definitely going back and indulging more with their food! One f the high lights for us was the dessert!

The subject title sums up my experience at Bistro Lilly, and this comes even before trying any of the food. I purchased in good faith travel zoo vouchers to dine in this restaurant. When making the booking, the owner/manager/licensee who answered the emails was rude and condescending. Despite booking 2 months in advance of the day that I wanted, he simply replied saying that day is not available. He did not offer me any alternative days or seemed remotely interested in helping me. Perhaps this has to do with the fact that I was using a group buy voucher.
So I took the initiative and asked what days were available. Keeping mind this was two months prior, and he only offered me two days. So I picked one of the days. For a week, there was no reply. Once again, I took the initiative and asked for a confirmation. This came in the form of an abrupt email simply saying confirmed. It is quite hard to be rude over email, but Bistro Lilly are quite inept at doing so, the tone filters right through.
So my friends and I turn up on the date chosen and confirmed. Behold, the restaurant is closed. Needless to say, no one was impressed. I would never deal with this restaurant ever again, and I recommend you all do the same.

I went to bistro lilly with a group of friends, and we all had a wonderful night. From the start the waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was of good quality, tasty but a little light on portion size, (but I'm a big eater) we had nice wines to go with our meals, it all went down like a treat. On and all, we all left happy and satisfy.

We visited Bistro Lilly after hearing about the Great food from many of our friends. The night we visited it was very busy but the staff were very attentive and Friendly and made us feel special. The food was amazing, delicious scallops, followed by yummy salmon. Well done we will be back.
