The perfect local, great food $10 rumps, nice outdoor area. The Flying Cow Bistro does great pub food, the burgers and steaks are great, they have a nice share menu too.

Went on Tuesday night and had the $10 steak. This piece of rump was cooked perfectly, like absolutely completely perfectly medium rare. I chose to have the mushroom sauce which actually had a great handful of mushrooms in it. Not bad for a suburban pub. It's hard to find a decent steak for under $25. This meal proved that when cooked right rump steak is a great cut of meat. Going again next week hope it's as good next time! There's a warmth and cosiness to this suburban pub and we got a booth, gotta love a booth!

The new management in the kitchen here is fantastic, great pub food, great price and nice pub, what more could you want from a local? We will be back again! Especially for the $10 Rump, so tender and a great sized serving!

On Saturday 18th July 2009 our night started out well, bar staff were excellent and spirits reasonably priced, main meal was nice, and we got value for our money. The downer for the night was when we were served our chocolate mousse. It was like crumbled up cake and to the few of us that ordered it **was not mousse**, we were told by one of the kitchen hands it is home made, and thats how it turned out.

Another kitchenhand came to collect our glasses with mousse still in it and asked why we had left it because a lot of people only eat half, I was very disappointed after paying $9 each and not even eating it, and after complaining to kitchen staff a senior staff didn't even come to our table to see us. Overall we had a good night just the dessert let us down.
