An average Indian eatery, I been to this restaurant few times with my friends but not much I will be looking forward to food has got same taste with all the dishes you can not differentiate any item to the others. But good value I must admit.
We used to go to Billus all the time but sadly their service and food has decreased in quality. The restaurant itself is in need of a major renovation and update. As for the waiters, they need some training. I was brought plain naan instead of garlic naan I ordered and politely told the waiter about the mistake. He did not apologize or even speak a word to me about what was being done, then came back and carelessly tossed the correct naan on the table.
Our food was another disaster, the rice was cold and congealed into a clump, the meat was tough and not at all fresh. The bathrooms and cleanliness are another story! It seems that hygiene does not rate very highly among the staff. Extremely disappointing. Billus must pick up their game if they wish to stay open.
One can stir up a curry of words to review this place. In short, this place deserves to be rated according to their food served.
A very mediocre Indian restaurant with average prices. Produce used is general commercial quality and the rest I will avoid from rating.
Quality of food is not good. We ordered samosas and they seems not fresh. Same thing with lamb. I think they are doing bulk cooking. Service is of standard. Ambience is not bad. Staff need to be more helpful and friendly.
Not recommend if you want a quiet time out with the family. Pay first then eat, not used to this kind of service. The blaring music got me so wild that I had to ask to have it lowered. The plate with various dishes was ok. Value for money but otherwise an absolute no for me.
Billu's is more like a Dhaba so you can't expect fine dining but the food should be good quality as the price isn't very cheap. The reason why I dine at Billus as it's local and I always receive great service from a gentleman called Raymond, the Irish fellow.
He always attends to your needs and ensures you have a great dining experience.
Tp be honest, I think he should be the supervisor. Also, they make the best butter chicken and achari sheek kebabs it's yummy.
I had lunch at this place again on Sunday 27 July. This time I tried the butter chicken with plain naan and sweet lassi. The chicken was tasty and tender in a lovely reddish sauce and went well with the naan. But, and this is something that should be drawn to the attention of those who work at Billu's, the butter chicken would be much more enjoyable if it was hotter in temperature. It was warmish, when hotter in temperature would have made it much better. I still like this place, though. Service was polite and quick.
