My boyfriend and I go to the Big Mexican Rancho every Saturday night and it is consistent without fail!! This restaurant is without doubt the best Mexican restaurant that we have ever eaten at!
I cannot fault anything, the service is excellent, the food is to die for and the restaurant has a great, lively, happy vibe to it! We will continue going to the Big Mexican Rancho every Saturday night for many years to come.
This restaurant has a casual atmosphere and the best Mexican food you are likely to experience. The meals are inexpensive and I think best value for money of any restaurant around.
I love the food from the this place. It's always great and tasty, the stuffed jalapeños are the best. The food is always good and make for a great Valentine's night out.
We would eat here all the time if the food was just a little bit cheaper. It would be great if it wasn't located in such a random location (a very small group of shops). I've tried lots of dishes from th Big Mexican Rancho and we've never been disappointed.
I had eaten here before and was disappointed due to cramped conditions and noise. Thought that I would give the place a chance to redeem itself. Two hours after ordering, the rest of the family were finally eating. After a very confrontational and accusatory discussion (on their part) about my meal, it was discovered that mine had actually been forgotten. These guys owe me a picnic basket. To each their own, but never again for me. Al last, the voice of reason "bungawitta" has hit the nail on the head. This place is terrible.
Desperate for Mexican and living in the Shire, my boyfriend and I really, really wanted this place to be good but it was the most disappointing restaurant experience of our lives! We ordered fajitas, and could not believe what was served up to us on cold crockery plates. Cold tortillas, grey unseasoned strips of meat, none of the common accompaniments such as guacamole, sour cream or cheese, and the final insult, the attempt to masquerade TOMATO PASTE as salsa!
We left, hugely disappointed, our meals largely uneaten, NEVER to return.
Great Mexican food hidden from view, I would not have known about it if I didn't come to this site. What lacks in the service is made up for in the food, it is great. I was a big fan of Pancho's at Mortdale when Louis was there and this food is very similar to that. It can get a bit noisy but the food is definitely worth it. I wouldn't go the whole three courses as you feel like you will burst at the end, the portion sizes are mammoth! All in all, a very good restaurant in the burbs.
Tucked away yet busy Mexican haunt serving the Best beef nachos I have ever experienced, though severely overpriced even though most food is of good quality - it's only Mexican afterall.
Excellent food, the entree was generous, the sizes of main dishes were more than right and the taste of the food was very good. I highly recommend the "enchiladas". The only issue is that waiters are a bit busy and you just have to call their attention for drinks.
This little hideaway is a best kept secret of the local community. Best Mexican food in Sydney - it's done 'homestyle' and is packed with flavour and love (big serves too). I love this place and give it a 10 out of 10!
