The food (especially the dishes with duck components) is fairly good.
However, if you don't speak Chinese, forget coming here as it is very hard to communicate otherwise. This is from a basic observation of other non-Chinese people trying to communicate.

Well we were turned away from this restaurant last night. The place was busy and we had not booked. The freshly cooked duck coming out on trolleys looked delicious. We came in, stood in the doorway and saw two tables free but no-one came to ask if we wanted a seat. We stood there uncomfortably for 5 minutes. We felt very unwelcome.
Finally, I asked a waiter and he said two more minutes. Then after another while he returned and said 'sorry too full'. We took a card from him and went to the 'beverly hills chinese restaurant' (see review of this restaurant instead). Had there been no free tables I wouln't have bothered to submit this review.
All customers who walk in through the door deserve to be treated with respect and we were completely ignored. I rated the food in fairness of the appearance and the enjoyment of the crowd. This rating should go up when we get to try it ourselves.

The waiters were rude, the food was under cooked, it was the worse dining experience ever. I would never go there again and I suggest you don't, there are much better places to go to for peking duck that costs less and tastes much better.

The Duck was great! Really enjoyed the Salt and Pepper Squid, Wish I could say the same about the service. The staff practically ignored us and they were extremely slow.
We bought in 2 bottles of wine and after ten minutes we hadn't been offered any glasses and we had to request this from 2 different staff before the glasses arrived.
Go for the Food not the service.

I am a regular diner at this restaurant. I come for the cheap special pricing for the entrees eg fried baby pigeon normally $10+ but it's $2.80 here (you will think it's quail, it's very nice) and small bowl of shark fin for $2 (normally $10). I go regularly with a large family so it ends up being cheaper per head plus you get to share your meals. There is discounts on lobster too. But if you go just for other dishes, it's very ordinary. The service is very slacking (the waiters watch TV when they are not needed) and toilets are located on first floor (not suitable for elderly customers) plus there are many steps to get to the main dining floor. But if you want value for money Chinese BBQ poultry then this is the place.

Pretty much all of the Chinese seafood restaurants in the Beverly Hills strip are of the same caliber. I gave this restaurant a visit a few weeks ago and ordered fried quail ($2.80 each on special), fresh steamed chicken, steamed barramundi with spring onion and soy sauce, abalone in steambowl and salt and pepper pork chops.
The quail was dry and the pork chops were abysmal but besides that the rest of the dishes were very good. I forgive them for the pork chops because it was late and the oil was old and used.
Service was mediocre because the waiters were busy attending larger tables adjacent to ours. One thing that kept me happy was the extra steamed rice given (don't have to wait for refill). The bill was slightly cheaper than expected especially because of the inclusion of abalone. I walked out with a full stomach and a smile of satisfaction. For a late Monday night, these guys did pretty well.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Beverly Hills with a very good atmosphere. The food is nice and fresh with a very good selection of 'catch' seafood. The bill will never throw you off guard and they are open late.
