Cheap and cheerful. Basic wholesome food. No frills. Great, down-to-earth service.

Home cooked food, indeed! we had a pumpkin potato soup, and spaghetti. The pasta made me homesick cos it reminded me of my dad's spaghetti. Delicious fresh bread. Lthe ambience, simple and homely despite looking old and slightly run down. The staff was clearly very attentive, pointed out to my husband that I wanted to sit by the window when my husband didn't even realise it. hehe... will definitely want to go back for more comfort food!

Being a Chinese med student we often opt for cheap and cheerful. Betty's is exactly that, good fun waiter and the soup and damper is the go.

The Chilled Potato & Leak Soup, Oh my God, I could eat that forever. It's the best soup I've ever eaten, and with that huge hunk of crusty bread they give you, heaven!! Love this place.

Where do we start with Betty's? Best service from the friendliest staff : Fantastic, simple homestyle meals. Mmmmmm Potato and pumpkin soups and the yummiest bread ever. How do they make the bread so yummy?
Highly recommend!

I love this place. The potato and pumpkin soup is so warm and filling. I love the bread, it sso soft and so good with excess amounts of butter!
Service is great the waiter is hilarious!
A great place to go on a cold winters night with close friends.

The salad selection here is pretty good, so the midweek salad + main deal here is great value. None of the soups I've tried have been outstanding though. The venezualan waiter is very entertaining!

Was there recently with some friends. We had booked for 12 but when more showed up it was not problem to move things around to make room fior us. The waiters were very friendly bringing in crayons and paper for the kids to draw on/with. Food was tasty, no one left anything on their plates. The bread was absolutely delishes. Desserts are great. Although it was busy and many people were coming and going all night the service was great.

I wanted something light to eat for lunch and walked passed the store, never been to a soup kitchen before so thought we had to try it out. Loved the food and loved the waiter! I ordered the spinach and vegie pie (came with gravy as well), enjoyed it very much and my sister had the minestrone soup (could be hotter in my opinion) but my sis loved it and said the temperature was perfect. The bread is nice and fluffy and we got plentiful of it as we ordered the soup as well. The soup and pie came to $15 (cheap as!). Will be going back if I'm ever in the area.
