This place is brilliant. It may not be somewhere to take someone out to a nice dinner, but if you're running low on stocks at home and need a quick, cheap thai takeaway that's actually tasty, then this is your place.

The parking around there can be difficult, and, hence, dining in can be a pain. Best thing to do is to call and order, then drive up, double park, grab the food, pay and go!

For $7/$8 Lunch/Dinner respectively on their specials you can't go wrong. Just make sure that if you order on the phone, know their numerical menu to make the it easier for yourself, there can be a bit of confusion if you try to ask too much.

Here's my recommendations: 101 - Deep Fried Chicken with Rice (Gai Tod?)
103 - Stir Fried Noodle with Chicken and Vegetable (Pad See Ew)
104 - Stir Fried Noodle with Chicken Chilli Basil [very spicy]
109 - Stir Fried Chicken Chilli Basil with Rice [very spicy]
115 - Garlic Chicken with Rice [note, no vegies]

Huge portions, great food, unbelievable prices. (Before 4 pm, a large meal off the concise menu is only $7!). Great for takeaway, the restaurant itself is very simple, as mentioned by other reviewers. Best food available in the Eastern Suburbs for less than $10.

The dishes are hit and miss, some are good and some aren't. It's cheap though. The sukiyaki isn't bad.

Really great and cheap thai food and ben is always awesome and friendly. They try their best but this really isn't the best place to dine in. Small area, best to probably do a takeaway. Try the pad kee mao, lard naa, omelette with rice, and their fried chicken wings. Oh and the heavenly crab too!

Well I and my partner have been going to many Thai restaurants across Sydney. So far we can conclude that Ben's Thai offers some of the best Thai foods! Not only their foods are well comparable with foods from other Thai restaurants but also taste better than foods from average Asian foods. Their foods are generally awesome. The only setback is the layout of the restaurant and its location off the Kingsford roundabout. For you who want to experience authentic Thai taste, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Very large portion given whenever I order take away but good value for money.
There isn't really a point to eat in there because it's just a take away shop with a few seats scattered on the wall from front to back.

Great food and value but I prefer to order takeaway as it is very hard the get a seat for eat in. The shop is very small and poorly set up.

Great prices. Pad Thai was great. Not the best place to eat in. Great to grab some Pad Thai and then head down to one of the nearby beaches.

Food is good and affordable. They have a range of freshly-cooked meals for less than $8. Service is also fast and most food is cooked on the spot. But with an open kitchen next to the tables, the food aroma tends to stick to your clothes. So, it's a good takeaway place or quick meal only.
