Best Restuarant in The Hills District
Overview of Belmonte Pizzeria
Voted the best pizzeria in the Hills Shire (see notes) by Local Business Awards. Belmonte Pizzeria is the original and first Belmonte pizza shop of 5 to have opened in NSW in 1973 from the Belmonte family. The restaurant has an old look and feel with a distinct display of the historical past of Pennant Hills by way of photographs and memorabilia and a 60’s & 70’s movie theme.
When it comes to pizzas Belmonte Pizzeria is a class above the rest we offer the biggest pizzas in NSW and also the classic Italian pizza from the South (Bella’s Pizza & Pasta of Narellan) which is a thin base pizza which was never offered before at Belmonte’s.
We make 2 dough’s (thick and thin) daily and use the finest quality of produce, and as our saying states we are “ Dedicated to a Sensational Taste” We have also included a range large of salads and bruschettas making this a truly Italian Restaurant, and a Number of Pastas and of course Imported Italian Gelato.
I've been coming here for years and still come here about once a month. The pizza's are great value and you never leave hungry or disappointed. I come here for Pizza, but the home made pasta is amazing! and if they have the home made desserts I normally have one or the gelato. Great place to come with friends or a cheap eat, social and relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff.
Greasy and horrible. Just horrible. Way too much topping with disappointing base. Real pizza, good pizza, is sparingly topped with best quality ingredients not overladen with worst grade processed cheese, "meats" and vegetables. Yucky!
The fiance and I booked a table here as we wanted to try something local. We ordered a tomato bruschetta and pizza to share (both excellent), the ingredients were the freshest ingredients, almost like there was a farm right in the kitchen. Really was too full for dessert but after seeing a home made tiramasu on the table next to us, we ordered it and it was lovely too. This is a great little spot for a date and will be going back there frequently.
Thought we'd try this local pizzeria after reading the reviews off eatability. Call me fussy, but I do prefer my pizzas with a lighter crisper base - the wood fired type. We ordered a large 4 cheese pizza (I was hoping to recapture a luscious 4 cheese pizza I had a few years back in New Caledonia) and a large greek which had fetta. We were both quite hungry. The pizzas were ok, but I found the crust a tad heavy (even though we ordered the thin base) and the flavours were not quite coming together for me. I like my pizza lighter, and overall the meal left me feeling a little doughy and heavy. The owner (Leo) was lovely and encouraged us to come back to sample his wife's homemade pasta. The tiramisu was lovely and was my favourite part of the meal.
Very thick pizza bases, the thickest I've ever had filled to the brim with toppings and not very much cheese. I normally go for thin crust pizzas but these ones are irresistable and one of a kind. I get cravings for them, so distinctive. And don't worry they're not rubbery those horrible rubbery bases but lovely and soft. Its value for money because you end up eating half as many slices as usual. The calzone is also lovely.
Always friendly service in a family atmosphere. It's fun to wait for your takeaway pizza because they have a bench in front of the pizza-making bench. Highly recommended, must give it a try.

Great Pizzas with beautiful thick crust and lots of yummy topping! Great venue for a family dinner or a party. Not fancy, just relaxed environment which you can have more fun in. I have organised before the end of year soccer team dinner which was a great success. Great service! The vibe is cool with the collectors items on display on the walls. Highly recommended.
Belmonte Pizzeria is an absolute must for pizza lovers. The toppings are generous and the prices are very reasonable. I love that the restaurant is also lightly eccentric with its memorabilia from yesteryear. I celebrated my 30th upstairs in the function room a couple of years ago, the proprietors Leo and Dean were incredibly hospitable and welcoming and made a great impression on the 20+ friends who had come from all over Sydney to help me celebrate.
We are Pennant Hills locals so we also order our take away from Belmonte regularly. Each time, without fail, the pizzas are steaming hot and ready to eat when we pick them up and once again, the service is always friendly, efficient and reliable.
Thin prices and Thick Prices vary based on topping and selections. Party Pizza is fantastic for that special party at home.
