Well, if you can get past the oddly shaped dining space, the overabundance of mums with bubs and the spotty service, Bellagio is not a bad bet.

I've eaten here half a dozen times or so. The food and coffee are of a pretty consistent quality, although since the change in ownership it is not as good as it was a few years ago. They manage to do their Campo's coffee well and there are some very nice fresh/healthy offerings on the menu.

The problem with Bellagio has always been one of unfortunate circumstances. While it seems like a relaxed place to have nice brekky, there's always a bit too much activity. Either it's children running amok, patrons being a bit too loud or waitresses running about in organised chaos. The acoustics inside don't help. I guess it's unfair to blame the management on that precisely, but it is one of the primary reasons for my rare appearances here.

If you don't mind a bit of noise and the occasional mishap, you could do worse than this quirky spot.

I, also, came here dozens of times for a really good brekkie or lunch for years. It changed hands, and the menu, service and quality dropped through the floor. Poor food, lousy service and a really boring menyu and food. I tried 3 times in the last year or so, only because it Was that good before but it really is gone. Maybe the new owners could read these reviews and fix their problems, as we need a good place in this area as there isn't one, but I doubt it.

I have been to this place so many times for brekkie, it was my favourite Sunday morning past time! However, in the past few months the breakfast has totally changed. It was always so fresh and healthy but the last few times I've been, all I got was a plate full of greasy food.

The attitude of the staff has also changed, they were so friendly and attentive but last time the girl serving us practically threw our food at us, it felt like we should nearly apologise for wanting to eat there! Its disappointing as the rest of the cafes about this area simply do not live up to the old Bellagio!

I've now tried Bellagio 3 times (twice for breakfast, once for lunch) and it always impresses, especially on the food side. I often fantasize about the breakfast wrap in particular. Service is slow at breakfast on the weekend, likely due to the small kitchen and immense popularity of this place. But service is friendly, and the value is great. Coffee could be a bit stronger.

One of my favourite cafes around. Nice menu, good decor (great to have the option of 2 outside areas!) and the staff are fantastic - love the names on the shirts team!

June 08: Came here with little Neecy for breaky on Sunday. Early enough there to have a choice of tables and we were not disappointed, the food and the service was tremendous. I was excited to read that they serve 'campos' coffee blends, however, the coffee did not taste anything as good like it does in Newtown. Still rate the food and will return again.

Update: Returned for a breakfast this time with Jumbo, the Fuh and my French pal Didoo as it was too windy and wet for golf. We all had a tremendous breakfast including juice and a good coffee. Unfortunately, Didoo who has just completed a diploma on 'poaching eggs' was not too impressed with the eggs served to him - they did look a little too hard. Right or wrong and without too much fuss the meal was quickly replaced well before the rest of us had completed. Well done to the management and staff. Even Didoo left satisfied and that’s saying something.

This is our regular breakfast which never disappoints! The toasted muesli with yogurt is delicious plus you can never go wrong with the Bellagio breakfast or the toast with multiple jams, seriously good! I highly recommend this place, yes, it can be busy and service sometimes a little slow but that's because it's so good people flow to this place!!

The owners Scott, Felix and Trent are very down-to-earth and passionate about customers which a rare find in the Eastern Suburbs! The two young servers Lisa and Nina (everyone has named shirts) are fantastic. Will be back time and time again!

Weekday breakfast here was fantastic. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and excellent coffee. The food was outstanding - too often cafe breakfast food is predictable and pretty average, but we were very impressed.

Sonoma muesli was delicious with fresh fruit, yogurt and berries and the eggs benedict connoisseur, among us gave his breakfast 9/10. I would choose this as my top breakfast place in the local area.

Good/fresh food and friendly staff. Have noticed it tends to get a little overrun sometimes but has been worth the wait each time so far. Specifically the prawn salad, caesar salad and flourless cake have all impressed. (Updated) We have now visited Bellagio on a number of occasions, so am more than happy to upgrade our scoring for both the quality of the food and the service, which have been consistently high on every subsequent visit.

Best coffee in Sydney, and the food ain't bad either! Friendly staff at a great little spot. Don't ever stop those mini muffins with the coffees! Will definitely return tomorrow, and the day after.
